Cutting the WORST Lawn on Youtube

Ойын-сауық

Its halfway through the year & this lawn hasn't been cut yet ONCE! Will Egos' newest battery powered mower cut prickle weeds over 6 foot high and mow waist high tall grass? Let's just try!

Do not buy a batterry mower. The batteries need to be replaced every 4-6 years and tend to cost $300-500. I'm very happy with my new corded electric craftsman mower. Plenty of power, doesn't die out like a battery, gives a great cut, & should last 10 years no new battery required. A battery store owner told me corded is better - There's no avoiding the fact batteries become weak, then die. You'll either have a battery that can't hold a charge, or just enough to do half or a quarter of you lawn per charge. Frustrating and not worth it. Batteries only hold a full charge for the first couple years then there's a drop off. The craftsman model I have is red on top, black on bottom.

I bought one yesterday and used it for the first time this morning. I must say, I'm impressed by 3 main things. 1. I did not expect the battery to last as long as it did. I easily mowed my front and back yard, without losing even half of the battery life. 2. It is much quieter than the videos make it seem. Me and my neighbor were able to have a full conversation and hear each other with no issue. 3. It's so light. I didn’t even feel the need to use the self-propelling feature, just because it was so easy to push.

The ego mowers are very impressive, especially considering they’re electric. I bought a house with 3 acres as part of an estate sale that had been super neglected for almost a year and the entire property looked like this. My ego Z6 mower absolutely demolished it in only one pass, the lawn looked fairly presentable and didn’t even leave half the mess as this smaller one did. I took a quick video of me running through it in first person view, but I wish I did a more formal video like this to show the power and capability.

A few years ago, we bought a Dr Power brush mower (30" cut about 18-20 hp or something like that). It's a beast and a half. It's probably almost 10 times the cost of this ego-mower BUT having a smaller mower for tight places would be cool...so it's now on the list of things to buy. I cut the grass and with all there is to do, the lawn often gets cut when I get around to doing it. In the mean time, it continues to grow. Eventually, cutting an hour at a time, the place looks like human beings actually live here. 5 acres with a brush mower keeps you in shape. The entire place gets cut probably twice before it snows. I'd like to see a 100 hour review on this ego thing. Good video. A riding mower won't cut tall grass so I don't want one.

If you look up the word “disability” it does not say “the inability to walk and talk”. The fact that he was walking and talking doesn’t mean he’s able to get out there and cut the grass and fix his house. Perhaps he has an injury that flares up after extended physical activity. Maybe he can’t push a lawn mower around. Maybe we just shouldn’t judge people when we aren’t privy to every detail of their life. It’s that simple.

This is a copy of the Ryobi brushless mower, I’ve had one for a couple months and really like it. Lack of torque in deep grass has never been a problem, the thing is super light and is so quiet people are shocked, the electric weed wacker is louder than the mower. Runtime on a single battery could be better but if you have a few of their other tools it’s not really a issue because it carries a spare on board so changing it on the fly takes seconds.

Andrew Delashaw put them side by side and you would immediately tell me that. It’s beyond obvious they are identical in design, operation and features, from the folding/collapsing handle design and its safety lockouts, the way it carries a spare battery on board, the drive motors location and the markings on it, the drive axle and it’s cover, the blade motor being load sensing and automatically adjusting speed in the same manner, even the single lever deck height adjustment and the sound it makes when you turn it on, all identical. Ryobi could of sold the design rights to ego, or the other way around. I know they are not related brands, none the less, they are twins, nobody has to tell me that, I’ve had them side by side naked flipped em over and went inside, trust me theys twins.

I love them, they are magnificent and they are nutritious. "The young stalks, leaves, roots and flowers can be eaten. Milk thistle root can be eaten raw or cooked. Leaves can be eaten raw or cooked however the very sharp leaf-spines must be removed first. ... Milk thistle can be used like asparagus or rhubarb or added to salads."

They are considered a noxious weed by most people and are highly undesirable. Minnesota classifies them as an invasive species. There is nothing good about musk thistle.

The long wavy grass is calming in a way. Hard to explain the feeling.

I'd like to see you rebuild his deck man... this dude seems like he's in some need of some more help than just a mowing

It's just fascinating to me the fact that we watch peoples work life for fun. Not the fact I hate these videos, I love them. I bet people in the past would think watching someone mow a lawn for a living is outrageous.

I want one of those mowers, i have seen big commercial mowers cut out in grass not as tall as that. Keith is impressed you can tell, Keith is just one of those very quiet nice guys, I hope he gets a mower like that, there is nothing more satisfying and good for mind and body than going out cutting the grass, I wonder are his neighbours good and kind😊

@🌟HAWG! I strongly disagree. I know people who have a pigsty of a house but an impeccably clean car. I know people who are the exact opposite. Yards are a whole other story, since the size and hilliness of it cane be too much for some people. And then there's the whole issue of whether people are physically capable of mowing their lawn, let alone can afford someone else to do it for them.

@🌟HAWG! It's not an exception, it's common. I also know plenty of people (like myself) who try to maintain everything. I know people who neglect everything. People are different. Eagles may soar with eagles, but you're not going to see a golden eagle soaring with a bald eagle. It's quite naive to think that someone's yard represents their home care or car care.

What a great video. Super impressed by that mower and how Keith couldn’t give two shits that someone was doing this for him. Wonder what he was thinking?
