Cutting Methane Pipe - Jeff's Dreaded Ranch Project!!
Methane pipe needs cut for a project happening on the ranch later this week. This has always been Jeff's least favorite ranch project and this year I lend a helping hand to make it easier. Stay tuned later in the week to see what the pipe will be used for!

Always great to see Jeff. He's worth his weight in gold. They don't make'em like him any more.

It’s great having him on the ranch.
Jeff always had to do all the physical labor alone. I’m glad Erin you are showing him the respect he deserves. You are a great asset to each other. Jeff is a good man.

Not sure I agree with your statement about Jeff having to do all the physical labor alone before. I think Jeff and Mike divided and conquered on a lot of tasks because they could do them alone.

@@dpofahl you are entitled to your opinion. Erin is twice the worker Mike was. She explains And is so much more involved at the ranch than Mike was. The ranch is getting cleaned up and taken care of.

Looks like it works pretty slick once you get your groove going 👍
Hi Jeff! I love your T-shirt! That was some hard work but happy you got it done!
Very nice video, and nice you seeing you again jeff.

@@jusmeinia7 No they are not a couple. They just used good teamwork to cut the pipes. Teamwork makes the dream work!
That definitely looks like more work than what was needed. Just next time use the fork attachments on one of the skid steers or whatever it’s hooked to. And when cutting the pipe, don’t even worry about cutting the threaded end off and just measure from the other end and you could probably leave that on there is it more likely going into the ground. Just my two cents for you two. enjoyed watching the video
Well glad Jeff's back now sure will help alot. Sorry to hear about your divorce but I know you got this and you will make it. My prayers are with you.

Good luck on the fencing install. Jeff will be a great welder. Keep all your pipe. Its far more valuable installed on the ranch when your kids can help more.
Should've used a torch to cut them. Unless you had to have clean edges to turn thrm in?
I know that 2and half inch drill pipe weighs about 8 pounds per foot

Yup!!
I dont know it as methane pipe. I know it from farmer tyler ranch as oil pipe. He welds it his self. To make fences for his cows. Ive also found another cow channel called enoch cow vet. For the medical side of things. Its interesting. I didnt know you can do half the things they have shown on cattle. Tyler cuts them on location. Of coarse. Of coarse he has the bandsaw. Tyler never picks up such large amounts like this. Only enough to do whatever projects he needs to complete. Great video Jeff and Erin.

Sign of a true list person: if you do something productive that wasn’t on your list, you then have to add it to your list so you get to cross it off.
You do know you can sell those pipes to outher ranchers
Might should use the skid steer with forks to move the pipe
@Ranch_Hand_Jeff
Ай бұрын
That takes too much time to get centered enough that it won't tip off. Good thought though.
My understanding methane gas forms above manure pits. What were they doing on the ranch with it ?
Had the ranch ever been cleaned up before?
Let Jeff know if he sprays WD 40 on the blade it will make the blade stay cool and clean and cut better
What will you build with that?
A chop saw is a better choice. Band saw is to slow. I see Jeff still is drinking Mountain Dew.👍🏻
How heavy are those things

I don't really know Jeff, I quit watching about the time he started. That's when I kinda gave up on Mike. I thought Erin's a better rancher than Mike. So now I sub again. Keep up the good work you guys! I think you need some proper equipment.

It wouldn't be a RHJ video if there wasn't a Dew in the back pocket....
From my point of view watching you two work is awesome and learning is fun but that chore doesn't look very fun. 🤪 It is probably one of those essential projects. Farming isn't all about cute baby animals and gardening all the time.

I spoke too soon
the sounds of metal being cut for so long and the hum of a nearby motor in the background constantly made this video unbearable to watch im sry :( this shouldve been a timelapse maybe. there are also tools available in editing software that can dampen down the sound of heavy equipment while maintaining spoken words, wouldve been great here
