Captain Andy I cannot express the appreciation I have for the efforts you have put forth to bring the salvage operation to us on KZread. Almost 10 years ago the Costa Concordia wrecked and sadly there was loss of life there but I became a salvage junkie and was constantly searching for updates from the time it ran aground to the last plates cut in Genoa and sent to the recycler. Thanks

I wouldn't be surprised if the wildcat block is flying here pretty soon. From looking at the chain it appears that they have about another 60-80 feet of the side to cut then up through the decking. Thanks for the updates Capt. Andy.

I am counting the contact noise as the 18” links pass through the open channel. Each link is facing 180 degrees opposite each other so the contact noise is from the individual link shoulders under high tension striking steel as they move by. Thanks, Andy! Wishing you great health and happiness. St Marys, GA 🇺🇸⚓️

At this pace they could well be on track to have both sections outa there well before the end of September. I'm sure there is still plenty of debris to remove from the site after the hull is gone, but I think the end to this is finally in view. Great sound for sure, but even better views of the chain...

last cut, no need to save the chain for later cuts. Your comment about moving the VB-1000 for alignment is good too. Knowing how Murphy operates, they might have been off center and trying to cut thru a major bulkhead or structure that was inline with the chain.

And maybe worried about future storms slowing them keeping them reaching the goal?
