Captain Andy I cannot express the appreciation I have for the efforts you have put forth to bring the salvage operation to us on KZread. Almost 10 years ago the Costa Concordia wrecked and sadly there was loss of life there but I became a salvage junkie and was constantly searching for updates from the time it ran aground to the last plates cut in Genoa and sent to the recycler. Thanks
You know these guys ready to get back home...What a journey this has been! Be glade to get our "view" back‼ Thanks Captain Andy, you sound much better today 👍

Nice to have you back . Thanks again for the time and work you put into the videos
Another great job of keeping us informed Cap. Andy. Hope the last cut goes well and you can remain upbeat in your reporting. Waiting with abated breath to see what happens when they have two sections and only the capacity to hang one.
Wow great progress. Hopefully all that practice makes for perfect cut. Well done to everyone involved. Excellent report Andy. Thank you.
It's a great day with both you sounding better and the progress looking better. They may actually get this salvage job done after all of the delays. Thank you for sticking with the updates.
It's ripping! It's been so cool to see this salvage through the months. Thanks Captain Andy!⚓
I wouldn't be surprised if the wildcat block is flying here pretty soon. From looking at the chain it appears that they have about another 60-80 feet of the side to cut then up through the decking. Thanks for the updates Capt. Andy.
Wow they are moving right along good video glad to see you on the boat Good video looking forward to the one where they are done you stay safe out there how is a pleasure to see your videos👍

This is so exciting to watch.Hope you are feeling better. Thanks so much for sharing all this.
Great job as usual
They're as anxious to get that hulk out of there as anyone. Excellent job again, Andy.
The show will be over soon! Thanks for the great report today! Hope you are feeling great 👍
I am counting the contact noise as the 18” links pass through the open channel. Each link is facing 180 degrees opposite each other so the contact noise is from the individual link shoulders under high tension striking steel as they move by. Thanks, Andy! Wishing you great health and happiness. St Marys, GA 🇺🇸⚓️

If you can tomorrow, zoom in on the chain moving through the hull. It would be interesting to see the chain "cutting."

At this pace they could well be on track to have both sections outa there well before the end of September. I'm sure there is still plenty of debris to remove from the site after the hull is gone, but I think the end to this is finally in view. Great sound for sure, but even better views of the chain...
At 1:50 in the video it looked like that boat was aiming right at you. You stay safe out there too!

Sir Andy!! Can't move fast enough as there are still STORMS in the Atlantic !!! Hope the Families of the Workers were able to cope with ""IDA"" ??? Have a good week & hope the cut is finished by FRI..?? ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!
Awesome video, Captain Andy! Enjoyed watching the chain in action. The end appears in sight! Hope you’re continuing to feel better!
This is a most interesting video of the cutting process. Never thought an "anchor chain" could be used as a cutting device. Thank you so much for showing this video!
Every clang Is a chain link passing a single point.
Thanks for the great coverage
Oh Captain Andy such wonderful music to the ears 😊 They should be done with both pieces by end of September gone and then cleanup 👏👏👏 So very happy that you are on the upswing and leveling out 💕💕 Your navel crew seems to get into mischief without our Captain Andy… We don’t do well without you 😂😂 Thank you so very much for all your hard work and time and dedication to us 🌹🌹🌹 We are so blessed to have you 🙏. Simply amazing video! I would love to see a section of the chain after the cut.
Great video! Loved seeing those cutting blocks moving. Question? You said that they’re about a third of the way through the cut,so do you think that they’ll be finished with it by Wednesday? Thanks again for all of your reporting Capt Andy and stay safe out there in the Sound.

Thanks for the vid. Could not see the actual cutting though
Great video, hope you are doing better.
last cut, no need to save the chain for later cuts. Your comment about moving the VB-1000 for alignment is good too. Knowing how Murphy operates, they might have been off center and trying to cut thru a major bulkhead or structure that was inline with the chain.
Hammering away, or it sounded like it anyways.
Wonder how the LA facility did during the storm? Still no sign of the next dry dock.
Them boys are on a pure mission at this point… lets getter Done ✅ Then the Clearing of everything that’s out there 🤠🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼 but it’s gonna be a while till they can move these last sections up to LA because of the hurricane 🌀

Captain Andy, Great views and reporting‼️ I think I remember Unified Command putting a goal/deadline of end of September? Do You recall? I wonder if that is why the increased speed? And maybe worried about future storms slowing them keeping them reaching the goal? Prayers continue as Your Health Improves🙏 Thank You for Excellent Reporting‼️ Friend’s children were down at St Simons Island this past weekend. They have watched Your Videos and were going to try to see You. I haven’t heard anything from them since they left last Thursday. They flew Personal Plane- A Barron.
Glad you're up and about. You alluded to "them learning". At the pace you see NOW, how long would the entire job have taken? A guess. To your knowledge has this technique ever been used before?

Oh yea. This ain’t gonna take long. They got if figured out by now.
Today's video sure gave a great demonstration of your camera stabilization. I was dumbfounded by how much the boat was rocking, compared to how stable the picture looked. You may have mentioned it before, do you use a gimbal type stabilizer, just curious?
👍
I think the end of the whole operation is coming into sight now. I'm sure after the last 2 sections are removed, there will be some final debris clean up in the area. I wonder where the VB10000 will go next?
They will finish the final cut soon.
