Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Donna, you want to make sure that you only have 2 images selected. Sometimes the images come in grouped together. When you select one look at the layers panel to see if you have the "Ungroup" option. If you do, then make sure that you ungroup it and then select the image and the rectangle. Hopefully this helps.

    No, unfortunately there isn't a way to do that. The image will not even begin to cut unless it fits within the size limits in Design Space. The only way to do it is have it set up in 12 x 24 inch pieces.

    Love your videos and have subscribed to your site. Newbie. Sorry. Trying to print and cut off downloaded image (png). Need to slice in half like yours. Do everything exactly as you have done but when get to 3:20 mark in video I hit one of my rectangles and my 'slice' option does not light up. Where did I go wrong? If you have another video that addresses just direct me there. Thanks!!

    Hi James, does your imported image have more than one layer to it? In order to slice you need to make sure things are not grouped and you are only choosing 2 things at a time. Please let us know so we can further assist you.

    This will be a silly question for seasoned Cricut Design Space users, but how did you change your screen to show the whole large object? When I make my project 23x11.5, I can only see part of the image.

  • @Expressionsvinyls

    @Expressionsvinyls

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi Emily, if the Slice button isn't highlighted then it means you have too many images selected. Sometimes there are images grouped together. If you are selecting one of those it will not work because they are all grouped. Ungroup them and then choose the two you want to slice. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We'd be happy to assist.

    Hi!, Thank You so much. The type of vinyl you use would depend on the projects you are doing. If you are making decals for your indoor walls then I recommend removable vinyl. Here is a link to that - expressionsvinyl.com/removable-adhesive-vinyl/ If you were doing things that were more permanent, outside, on vehicles, etc. then you would want to use a Permanent vinyl. Here is the link to those - expressionsvinyl.com/permanent-adhesive-vinyl/ My personal preference on transfer tape is the paper kind. We carry it in rolls or sheets. I haven't had a problem transferring my vinyl to any different type of surface. It works great on wood, glass, cardstock, etc. This is the link to that - expressionsvinyl.com/transfer-tape/paper/ If you are worried about being able to see while you are layering then you may not want to use that one. You can still see through it but not as easy as the clear. For layering I like to use the grid lined that can be found here - expressionsvinyl.com/gridlined-clear-transfer-tape-12x30-roll/ Hopefully this helps.

    HOw do you make the design space with so many squares in it. (resize but how?) the slice button didn't come on, warning sign saying it was too big.

  • @Expressionsvinyls

    @Expressionsvinyls

    4 жыл бұрын

    It will give you the warning sign but you will still be able to slice it into smaller pieces. When you are slicing them you need to make sure that you are making them the correct size. Just to be safe I usually make them about 11.5 x 23. Also, you are only able to slice 2 images at a time. If you have more than one selected you will not see the slice button. Hopefully that helps a bit.

  • @Expressionsvinyls

    @Expressionsvinyls

    You can, if you're using adhesive vinyl and certain HTVs you can just layer one on top of the other. Sometimes you will have to do the knockout method (slice on the Cricut)
