Laura you are the reason that I took a chance on growing some flowers. At 61 I never actually grew flowers. This year I bought a 29 cent pack of zinnia seeds and they have done wonderfully. You gave me the inspiration to try again after failing for a few seasons. Thanks for all you have done for all of us.

I was so happy to read this….I too am 61 years old and have now been inspired by Laura to try to harvest seeds from by flower gardens. I don’t have the room for a cut flower garden, so I bought a small raised garden from Sams Club and will be planting zinnias seeds and dahlia tubes in there. Can’t wait!

Thank you for giving me the courage to ruthlessly trim back leggy plants, shear back unruly bushes and actually dig out and toss things that have irritated me for years. Due to you and Aaron, my yard is actually far healthier and I and far happier with its appearance.

for those of you that have the “cilantro soap genes” that make cilantro taste like soap, you should grow “culantro” (also known as “recao”)! Many Latinos use culantro primarily and only use cilantro as a substitute when we can’t get culantro/recao (for making sofrito). Recao seeds need lots of moisture to germinate so regular misting is a must. I try to talk about it on my lil’ channel when I can, because I think it’s underused 😊🌱 Good luck!

In our 1st lockdown in New Zealand the garden centres ran out of vege seedlings and seeds! I had to make to with old packets of seeds for my winter vegetables. We survived😄.

Can you do a video on your best equipment? (Snips, watering accessories, gloves, hose, etc.) I want to upgrade to better, longer lasting tools and can’t easily find all those individual videos you did. Much appreciated. 🌼🌻🌸

Laura could you do a comprehensive video on what crops are a good idea to plant end of summer beginning of fall? We are putting it together from your videos but it would be nice to have it all in one spot so maybe newbies to year round crops can get a better plan together.

What is a cover crop? I am continually amazed at how much you do each day!! Having two young children to care for, a house, husband and a huge garden!!! Plus, I have heard you say that you are up late at night! Where does all of this energy come from? You have the sweetest husband too. God has truly blessed you all and thank you for sharing your talents with us. I am going on 70 and each year I try to make a pretty flower garden. This year it did fairly well, because I followed your directions on fertilizing annuals. I didn't know that annuals needed so much regular fertilization. Thank you again.

Thank you!!!! I was out "playing" in our Koi Pond that Gary is building this year....and next, I bet!....but I never had success with Dahlia's...my big sis up north would give me tubers....I was busy with little ones then, 3 of them, so I would forget to dig them up; along with my canas my MIL would faithfully give to us!!....so it is so exciting to be happy with my first Dalia harvest and Hydrangeas!! BIG BIG WHITE ones that turn to PINK!! and they DRY excellently, hope that is a word!! Love you guys!! all 4 of your young, little family!! Grateful Heart, Kari Sue

When I remember the root cellar we had at our farm, it was on a lower level, the basement of the farmhouse and another under the tool Shed with a dirt floor. Never saw one like yours in a garage type structure.

You inspired me to start gardening in my senior years. I have 4 dahlia plants, a dozen zinnias and lots of basil. Tonight, I harvested about 4 cups of basil and used your wonderful recipe for pesto. I also freeze cubes of pesto for the future - works great and keeps its color. Love your videos and your family!
