Cutting / Chopping board build basket weave pattern in end grain

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I show how I go about building a cherry and maple end grain chopping board from sawn wood to a finished end grain board.
The wood is dimensioned, resawn, planned, thicknesses, glued, cut to length, glued again, flattened, sanded, has handles cut in, sanded, chamfered, sanded, oiled, branded, and then has feet put on.
Board is simply beautiful really stands out the white of the maple against the cherry really does make for a stunning example of the basketweave pattern.

You should also do a tour of the workshop. What each tool does etc? Be interesting. Unless it’s just me and I’m a boring sod

Good eye sight. For some reason I suspect the glue up left a slight crack on one joint this then in turn had the compound effect and so carried over. As a result was a learning board.
