He doesn’t even break 6 figures. Besides that being salaried at a jewelry store usually doesn’t pay more than $30 dollars an hour at the top end. Laborers aren’t the ones that make the big bucks in any trade. We don’t have to buy the metals or stones. We don’t have to design and sell. We don’t have to run a business and pay for rent. So why should we get a big chunk of sales when all we do is put things together and polish them up? Considering NY if he’s being paid well he’s probably making about $40 an hour.
