He was only with me briefly as a foster. He found a lovely home with some new friends via a rescue I help

I want to get a pet mouse or rat

Unfortunately that's a health problem, most of these small animals (mice, rats, hamsters) have clogged breathing which causes a variety of sniffling sounds. Some live through it and survive, eat, etc, even live a rather full life, while some go into decline and succumb.

@@wearethemoos Yes many of them will go on to live rather full or decent lives, active, eating even running on the wheel, despite their nasal and respiratory illness.
