    I recognize that this reply is a year late, but an answer is still an answer. So here it is: Very uncommon in the world today, animals that are not afraid of humans instinctively include humans. From an evolutionary biology point of view, almost all animals you can see commonly instinctively avoid humans simply because of natural selection: that trait has been bred for. The animals that aren't afraid of humans, well, they got massacred and went extinct. Famous example? Dodo bird of Mauritius... Wasn't afraid of humans and ended up becoming a meal until extinction.

    sugreev2001 who eats puffins? I've never heard of that, puffins mostly live on fish so no doubt they'd be a lean meat . I live in Newfoundland and have never heard of anyone eating puffins

    It's mind-blowing to think that the puffins can find their burrow, with their child, among that landscape and the hundreds (or thousands?) of burrows. Animals are magnificent, mysterious wonders!

    This is the first I ever heard of birds burrowing and living underground. Very fascinating! It's very easy to see how birds are the only lineage of dinosaurs to survive. They're incredible animals.
