Cheetah momma's do it deliberately, asa sort of positive reinforcement to develop hunting instincts. So when the Cubs 'ambush' their moms, the moms will pretend to be surprised.

Big cat diary was my way into the life of big cats. Can't imagine a life without the BCD stars. Luckily I have BCD on DVD. I still hold a grudge on the vet who killed dear Honey. He did everything wrong with his job.

That's interesting what you say about cheetahs. I didn't know that they will not attack humans - that's nice.

I used to sit everyday and watch bigcat diaries and the meerkat family with a little old lady named Barbara in the apartment right below me to wait for the school bus when I was 8. She was 85 and we moved when I was 10 years old. I remember this and it breaks my heart remembering her and us watching the entire story of toto. Im 15 now and just found this again and broke down. These guys are amazing for sharing this with us

Inunganba Soraisam apparently Jonathan couldn’t find him but Simon tracked them down. One of the wildlife officer told him that the lions cane back and attacked them killing toto

i did a tribute to them, toto was ever so cute i loved him so much. His death is still unknown yet it is said that he was washed away in a storm, no little cub couldnt have without the protection of shelter. honey was killed a year after...

I admire Cheetah Females (AKA Moms). They have no help of the male whatsoever, and having 2 to 5 cubs, they have the hardest job on earth. Protecting her cubs on her own, She has to hunt, kill, and feed them. They are fast, But can barely can take on a pack of Vultures. They have their hard work literally stolen from them...

So beautiful and yet we see the uncertain and fear on their faces. Can we not fault owners whom rescue a cheetah and give them a much better safe, healthy protective environment. I don't blame them for one minute , it's Cheetah like this that their lives are at a high risk living in the wild. So regal yet so fragile. Please help the Cheetah's.

no toto died, we never knew what became of him, the last time he was seem bedraggled in a storm following honey, we think he drowned in the Tallic river, but not so sure, we will miss both Honey a beautiful female and great mother and litte toto the youngest cutest cheetah, both had wonderful personalities and im sure none who watched them will ever forget them.

I miss Big Cat Diary! I wish they would make new episodes! This show made me fall in love with big cats. Little Toto didn’t survive. It’s hard to believe these tiny babies are traversing the savannah’s of Africa!

The african music is so great, It sounds as if they played to celebrate Honey and Toto are safe for now. My favourite big cats in order: 1) Tigers 2) Leopards 3) Cheetahs 4) Jaguars/ Mountain lions 5) Snow lepards 6) Lions 7) Clouded lepards/ lynx/ bobcats
