The impala is the prey animal the leopard usually takes on and causes the leopard to have to hide out and slowly move in for about 10 to 20 hours because the impala has got mad ups. I think it's supposed to be one of the best jumping animals out there. Now you have the impala and his ups vs. the cheetah and his speed. What do you mean, the impala is just as fast as a cheetah? The cheetah is the fastest land animal according to most sources, researchers, and experts. Impalas aren't fast than thompson gazeles. In this case they had a great way to scape. Both can scape or don't from chetas

@03creAtif03 well, there's no question they all can compete with the cheetah. I think most antelopes in general can give the cheetah a challenge. The Thompson's Gazelle (aka the tommy) can run up to about 50 to 55 miles per hour at their fastest while cheetahs have been known to get up into the 70s range at their fastest. I'm having difficulty understanding you by the way. Is english your first or second language?

I am too but you have to wonder had the cheet caught it would it have been able to kill it? The impala looked alot bigger than the cheetah plus had the impala got those sharp horns into the cheetah the cheetah would have been in big trouble. A cheetah is not a very physically imposing creature. Theres a video on here of 2 of them not being able to take down a single average sized wildebeest.

They are two completely different species. Sure they can mate and breed hybrids and they are similar, but are different in their own respect. In the wild leopards often eat other younger leopards and the same for a majority of wild cats.

Thompson gazelle's arent as fast in a straight line, however the prey will always give it that extra edge to survive. if its about raw speed alone the cheetah wins hands down.
