I think IRS Custom is good job for family and professional time and less headache and you'll be always posted in cities that too in best working space 😊 One should not take another UPSC exam if they're having IRS Custom.

1.It's so shameful to see different treatment from custom officials for different class of passengers. Please don't judge anyone by one's attire. 2. More importantly, Customs focus shouldn't be on one/2 passenger(s) mistakenly/casually carrying few more rupees / jewelries/or some electronics, etc..Focus more on organised smuggling, drug supply happening regularly throughout India (Which is what you are there for) So, work in the interest of the country rather than showing egos & wasting resources on showing powers, the Indian taxpayers have provided you with.

Thank you for this information. My question is - What action should the passager take when a customs officer is asking/taking a bribe? Who should the passenger report to? Because I have experienced this at Mumbai Airport T2 Arrival.

A indian citizens While departure from India can she declare their wearing jewel and as per rule is the officer ready to write in the passport. Also once return from abroad if that old jewel sold and buy new ones for the same weight which mentioned in the passport. In this condition shall pass the green channel without pay duty?

They are earning meager 50 k salary in respect to that expensive laptop that too after giving a tough competitive exam.. They are taking bribe to help u.. Otherwise u have to give more fine.. But as this items are not like smuggling one.. By allowing with bribes has no harm for us.. But they will certainly not allow smuggled items I guess for any sort of bribe

sir we need officer outside of airport too smugglers can escape us but outside of the airport we need smart ways to avoid smuggling and ignore the custom duty

VVIPs culture is widely glorified and pampered in our country more. European countries don’t have much VIP or VVIP culture.

I am proud and happy with Indian Customs, had nothing except used clothes from my 7 days visit abroad. And just enough cash to take a Taxi Home 😉 Tight budget travelling experience 🙏🙏
