Customizing Your Palette

Our empty palette option allows you to build precisely the palette you want. But how do you know what that is?
Setting up a palette is personal and depends on your preferences as an artist. Our range of palette and pan sizes lets you customize your layout to your needs.
We have four sizes of pans to choose from:
• Mini Pans are perfect for colors you like but don't need to use all the time. Fill them with convenience colors or something fun like glitter paint. You can also use them to carry two of a light color, like yellow, so that you have one for mixing and one that stays clean!
• Standard Pans are versatile and can accommodate larger brushes. Lay them out in the direction that you fill your brush!
• Double Pans and Large Pans are perfect when you want to work with big brushes and stock up on your favorite color.
• Our Mixing Pans and XL Pans are perfect for adding extra mixing space to your palette.
Once you've selected your pans and colors, consider filling your pan halfway so you can easily drag your brush across the paint. Then find an arrangement in the palette that works for you!

Big Art Toolkit fan here! I have the Folio palette, it is my favorite travel palette and is featured in some of the videos on my channel. I also have the pocket palette, it is also a great travel palette. I love how easy it is to swap out pans and mix and match different sizes. Nice video, keep up the great work! :)

Would love the folio palette with two rectangle mixing trays instead of the small ones on top. I shall have a look for them here!

What is best way that does not come of bottom to mark pans? I’ve tried permanent markers they come Off and now trying a label maker last I’ll engrave numbers on pans if nothing else works? lol forward to a solution for identifying pans so they can be switched out and in.

We like using a label maker (we have a brother one), though need to abbreviate some of the long paint names so they fit on the label!
I love my pocket and demi palettes, they're so small and lightweight with plenty of mixing area for small sketches. I cut slices of Daniel Smith watercolor sticks and they fit perfectly in the mini pans. When I leave home, the palettes easily fit in a pencil case with waterbrushes, a pencil, pen and eraser. Then I grab a small journal, put everything in my purse and I'm ready to sketch and paint anywhere. Your palettes are brilliant!
