The wheels are actually very good i like them

I love the build but there are a few AE86 specific details you should probably add. Like the tail lights are redlines so paint the little section above the taillights red, also things like turn signals and coloring the grille in like the Zenki AE86 front bumper. Those little details would really make your car pop!

I got one of these fun lil cars. A good upgrade wich makes it nice and peppy, i put a 7.4 volt battery. Doubles speed and no problems!

Nice build! I think you should do something with Ferrari as well. Also painting the bumper in black + 6 /8 spoke wheels would be looking much better for ae86.

Ae86 is my favorite car

This is the first vid I've seen of yours but I am about to check out more. I have been wanting to get regular plastic models but I bought an sg 1603 rtr and I am going to mess with it. I had a nitro Traxxas I think the tmax but I didn't have much luck keeping it running. I'm interested in painting, it seems like it can be rewarding in the end.

I got this rc car a while back and I'm going to paint it like the initial d ae86, I want to upgrade all of the internals too but it's going to be expensive

What printing method did you use? Resin or filament based printing? I was looking for those kind of results.

Looks great, much better than original. Sadly in my country there is only GT-R model for sale with terrible painting and I would never be able to paint it as good (not to mention 3d print). :)

I'm buying one. Screw it. I love doing custom stuff and the AE86 is gonna happen soon. Or, I might cheat, buy a 1:24 scale model, and use its body! Lmao. Anyways, you my friend did an amazing job on those wheels and would love to get them. Only problem I can't afford a printer like that and would like to know if these a way to get them printed, and shipped? No paint, I definitely want to do that, but I don't know anyone with a printer like that. I'm from WVa, so I'm just blessed to have a nice phone. Which we still lack even 5g here still... I bought one just to see what I could do and I used model car kit wheels and tires which worked amazing and looked better I had some model car tires that was kinda more slick and harder then the more realistic softer rubber model car tires for drifting of course and it worked like a dread and looked good I put a false floor in it cut out all the windows and put some clear plastic in for windshield and I took a dash and some seat backs from model car kits part boxes and it turned out awesome just wish it could be more of a hobby grade car

I have questions re drifting. I would like to hear comments from everyone if you have experience and thoughts. I am trying to understand what primary elements are necessary to get an RC car to drift well. My suspicion is tires and traction are paramount, that is about all I would guess. But what about center of gravity, 2wd vs 4wd, steering throw speed and total throw? What I’m wanting to do is get a 2wd traxxas Slash to drift on low traction dirt. Just looking for insight, thanks for any thoughts.

I have one (well two) of the original paint scheme of this car! I love the thing, and it just freaking SENDS! I've absolutely beat the crap out of it, and it still keeps going! I'm only sad that the new version of it is missing the underglow LED's that mine has. Those are just such an awesome feature.
