I make fairy houses out of little birdhouses. Some I just paint as a typical house, some are around town buildings. We have a mushroom church with 2 gnomes getting married and stuff like that. My favorite is the wing repair shop with a holographic roof so fairies can see it from the air. We paint at least 2 or 3 new ones every year, it's so fun. Our fairy garden will never be 'pretty', but it gets a lot of love, play, and imagination.

I have that same birdhouse! I haven't painted it yet. Now I need to, you've inspired me. My bird story: When my sister and I were young we found a crow that had been shot with a BB gun. We took him to the vet, who fixed him up and told us how to care for him until he could be released. We named him Edgar Alan Crow. When he was well, we tried to release him, but he was having none of that. "Free food, a nice warm place to stay and human servants, nope, I'm good right here." We'd put him out, and the minute someone opened the door he'd swoop back inside.

A few years ago I was helping set up for an event with my schools theater department. Me and some other students were in the lobby which had glass windows from floor to ceiling. Before I go on, in theater there’s this superstition where if you say the word “Macbeth” in a theater, then you’re supposedly cursed until you do something weird like running around the theater 3 times or stuff like that. Anyway one of my friends had said Macbeth and a few moments later we were in the lobby and three giant crows flew into the glass windows at the exact same time. It was really loud and scared us until we realized it was the birds. I don’t really believe in the Macbeth superstition but it sure was scary/weird when that happened. lol, so that’s my bird story. But Im scared of birds too. I also admire from afar. Love the video!!

I love birds but this is a story - not scary for me, but for the man. One year in Ireland we were sitting by the water where people will feed the ducks and swans. There was a swan family there (parents and three babies) and this man was trying to get a photo of the swans. He even got down and was lying on the ground trying to get the perfect shot. Suddenly one of the parent swans charged at him. No one was hurt, but I never saw a person jump up so fast in my life 😂

Years ago my son and I went for a walk at a family party. One of the neighbors had a white goose. As it started to approach us, we stepped slowly, walking backwards. Then I heard my son’s flip flops clopping as he turned around and started running. I quickly followed his lead and ran as fast as I could trying not lose my flip flops as well. I do not know what came over me but I stopped, turned around and karate chopped it across the neck. I look up to see my cousin running down the driveway, grabbing a handful of stones to come to our aid. He was pelting it with the pebbles as I see the rest of the family who had stopped their game of volleyball to watch the chaos. They were laughing so hard. Some of them were literally rolling on the ground. It must have been pretty hilarious. We still laugh about it.😂

I love birds! The first story that came to mind isn't a scary one but definitely one of my favorites. One time I saw a bird at Chick-Fil-A and did a double take....it was flying by very carefully carrying an upright, half open container of dipping sauce in its beak. 😂

I really like the color choices you made with this one! It gives the perfect spring vibe. My bird story is that birds left some droppings on my childhood swing set. Being unfamiliar with it, I was completely unbothered by it. But then, my playmate from across the street came over and she informed me that bird droppings are poisonous....and deadly for those who touch it. Needless to say, I was terrified of my "approaching death" because I had touched the swing. And I was in complete tears lol.

I love all these colours sooooo much on the bird house! 😍😍 Liner brushes are the best. And for a smoother affect add acrylic flow medium. The colour will still be opaque but will glide very nicely. I love birds, we have a lot in our garden, different shapes etc. When I was around 6 years old I went to a family friends house. We knew they had a very protective magpie. Mum would send us running out of the car and they would open their garage up to let us run in. We never played outside there. It was surrounded in bush too. The maggie got me on the back of the head one day. A deep cut where she swooped on me. All the maggies in my garden are lovely though. The young ones play like puppies. One will lay down on its back and the other will jump on it haha! I also was in my mums garden as a late teen and a bird flew down next to me. I said hello and it said hello back then flew off haha. My uncle was holding a piece of pizza on our deck, on the phone. A kookaburra swooped down and grabbed the pizza out of his hand. It was hilarious to see. My husband went near my mums rooster and this one was a BIG BOY and fully went to attack my husband. He ran out of the caged area and I had to use a low loud voice and stand in a bird pose, like as though I had huge feathers and yelled at the rooster to calm down. He then went back to the chooks.

What a Sweet little bird house! Love it! My bird story happened probably in 4th grade. My cousins had a mated pair of geese. I was Petrified of them & if they were on back side of house, I'd walk all the wa😂y around the house to go in the front door. One time my cousin laughed at me & called me a pansy. "They're just geese." Ha! Geese that were sitting on eggs! She walked right toward them & hit that invisible line that set the gander off. He took off chasing her, head down, neck stretched out, hissing, flapping wings. She screamed & ran, goose hot on her tail. I thought my Uncle was going to fall out of the chair laughing. Since the gander was now gone, chasing my cousin, I took the chance to run in the back door. 😊

You can use a strong command hook and hang it anywhere in ur garden. U can also use command hooks to hang feeders on ur windows. Maybe the kiddos windows and they'll grow up not being scared of birds. Birds are cool. Related to the 🦖 🦕 I heard. 😅❤ Also, alot of people don't know about bird stickers. It helps them see glass windows and doors. I put planters in front of my sliding door bc hawks were running into it dive bombing the morning doves feeding.

I really get along with birds actualy. I love feeding them in the winter though I move a lot so I've not been able to grow too attached to any. Currently my local duo are a pair of magpies who tease my dogs from the fence. There is also a nearby park where I'm pretty friendly with the jackdaws. sometimes I sit in the grass taking a break from cycling and lie my bike next to me and the jackdaws just hop up on my bike and watch me. I definitely want a solid bird friendly setup once I'm able to settle down in one location. A nice wildflower area with a birdbath and some feeders and bird houses.

She had bright white wing feathers which is definitely not normal for the species. This is how I learned what Leucism in animals. I named her Jacey. I loved seeing her every day and getting to observe her spunky personality. The following year she must have had babies because I then spotted a male with her same markings. I named him Sora. But I never got to see Sora grow up because that particular flock moved to a different part of town. It’s strange sometimes… Jacey and Sora weren’t my pets, but I miss them as if they were. 🥹

I was about 11 and I was a huge fan of Harry Potter and I was in my room, window was open and I saw this dark blob coming towards me and I wasn't sure what it was at first. When it got closer and closer I realized it's a bird and I was REALLY hoping for my Hogwarts letter haha (I know xD)! I don't remember exactly what kind of bird it was but it wouldn't stop flying straight towards me. I kid you not - it stopped just a few inches (I was standing at the window) before me and looked directly at me. I just remember a pair of big yellow eyes staring into mine and huge wings- then it flew upwards and vanished. I was stunned and excited and a little disappointed I haven't gotten my letter xD

Anyway a mockingbird once followed me chirping~ I needed to pay more attention and protect my family. A sparrow landed on my shirt and stared at me before flying off ~she was giving me hope and friendship Owl sat on a tree inside the city less than 7ft from me hooting loudly~ there's wisdom, knowledge to be gained or deception. There is some other more darker meanings but I prefer to see the lighter side. Crow once landed on my hood of my car turned its head at me~I need to transform myself for the positive. Here's my terrifying bird story. I got attacked by a huge buzzard when I worked as a vet tech yeara ago. When I tried to feed the buzzard, he came for me like a maniac (which is fair, he was a scared wild animal after all). He grabbed my lower left arm with his talons, while biting into my lower right arm with his beak. I couldn't do much more than stand there with outstretched arms, yelling for help, while this beast of a bird had me in a tight grip. It was such a weird situation to be in! It took ages for one of my colleagues to hear me. When they finally got the bird off me, both my arms were now adorned with quite deep holes. It was a story they hadn't heard before at the emergency room! 😅

Cute! I thought you meant you were scared of songbirds, but having negative experiences from a gull, swan, and goose isn't surprising--they're just aggressive. One time in college I was taking a walk with my MK (missionary kid) friend who grew up in Peru around the little pond. We came past a tree and all of a sudden there was a goose--I think sitting on a nest, even. I gasped and was like "Back up! Back up!" My friend was very confused about this sudden danger 😅

I love birds, my mom had some when I was younger, so I don’t have an issue with them. However, my husband is TERRIFIED of birds. When he was about 6 years old, his grandmother had a parrot and this parrot bit him on the ear, almost completely piercing his ear. He still has this place on his ear that looks like a piercing gone wrong, a scar. He has a very big fear of birds and one time when we were dating, (we live near the beach) a bunch of seagulls were in between us and the his car, on the driver side. He stopped me going to the passenger door, where there was no birds, so that he could enter the car through the passenger side and crawl to the drivers side. I watched this whole thing in amazement and really realized how afraid he was. I then went round to the drivers side, once he was safely in the car, and I walked right up to the birds until they flew off. He just shook his head and laughed! I have been pooped on a few times, and that’s not fun, but ultimately, I love birds, I just know that I will never get to own any (though maybe that’s exactly what my husband needs, me getting some smaller, cute little fluttery birds, not a parrot). Needless to say, we don’t get to have any fun parrot experiences at amusement parks, zoos or down on the boardwalk!

I'm not a bird person either. Prob stems from the time I was a toddler. My mom, brother, and uncle went to the El Paso zoo. It was Xmas eve or real close, so it was slow. The emus were used to people feeding them, but they hadn't seen much action until I walked up with my popcorn in hand. It ran up and reached it's head right over the fence and pecked me right in the face/eye. I was ok, I don't think it even left a mark, but still terrifying for a toddler who just wanted to see the emu 😂

I was afraid of birds for the longest time. The day after my dad passed away my best friend and I took a walk and we ended up finding and baby pigeon stuck in the bridge grate and I took it home and kept it until it could even fly. Tried to release it back into the wild and it wouldn't leave me so I kept it. Until I decided to take it to my mom's farm and he ended up living in the barn. Ever since then I've got used to birds and absolutely adore them.

I am from Australia so we have some different kind of birds. My sister when she was about 12 was attacked by an Emu. She had a bag of candy in her hand or something and the emu wanted them. The best part, it was caught on the old movie cams for everyone to forever remember. You have to remember that emus are probably the same height as a child. We also have Australian magpies and during nesting season the males often swoop perceived predators. I was riding my bike once from work and another time too work and was attacked by these birds. First time, I got home (as I was almost there when it happened) and my ear was definitely bleeding (they bite you) and the second time on the bike the one bird made three swoops and got me each time. It is very scary, as you're being attacked and bitten by these birds and yet you're also riding your bike at speed and you're trying to not fall off, especially if there are cars near by. Anyway google Australian magpie attacks and you'll see what I mean. I don't hold it against the birds, they are just protecting their babies and I can't fault that.

A friend of minerals nesting (Eurasian) blue tits that come back every year, and for 3 years or so they have a small camera in there so they can watch the eggs hatch and see when they will fly out after. There are birdhouses (and also birdfeeders) with the camera build in. Not a big birth person, butbstill love seeing it. Was attacked by a seagull 2 years ago, those got to confident around people always feeding them, so they would just come and get it themselves at that point.

omg i'm terrified of birds too (but i am not warming up to them and i dont think i ever will lol)🤗😅 years ago (i'm saying around 15 or so), a family friend who lives in a rural area and had a lot of land owned a rooster. we'd always been warned that he was terruotiral, so we never messed with him. one time while we were over there, my sister and i stayed outside to pet the horse and feed him some snacks. our friend and mom had gone in the house for something. i can't remember exactly what happened, but next thing i knew, the rooster was charging us. i picked my sister up (she was probably 5 or so) while screaming lol then the rooster flies at us and lands on my sister with his spurs in her leg! my friend and mom come running out of the house and get the rooster away from us lol my sister wasn't injured too badly, but she had the indent of where the sours went in. our friend called us that night to say her and her husband had rooster for dinner😂 i didn't think it was that traumatizing at the time tbh but as ive gotten older, my fear and just general dislike of birds has only gotten stronger, particularly chickens and geese lol i always feel stupid saying birds are one of my biggest fears bcuz ppl don't often think of birds as scary lol but it makes me happy to know i'm not the only one with this fear😂

Okay, it's crazy, but my family stumbled across a red bellied woodpecker that was stunned on the road when we went out for a drive in the mountains. We wanted to help it, so we took it into our car to place it somewhere safe off and away from the road. But it "came too" while we were driving it and started flying around in the car while my dad was driving!!! We ended up stopping and opening the doors to our van, but it wouldn't come out. It was hiding under the gas pedal! Finally got it out, though. So, Lesson learned.

If I see a birds nest molded to a some kind of wall, roof or a surface, I would quess it´s a swallow. But I live in Finland, so I don´t know for sure what kinds of birds you have there... Owls have these tendencies to stare at me when I´m hiking. A few years back I went to the woods, and an owl was sitting on a branch just next to my ear, so close it almost touched it... It was just staring at me and kept weird noises. That was a really creepy happening. And it´s not a first time owls come and stare me up close.

Not a scary bird story at all buttttttt… When i was 6 i tamed a street pigeon that would sit on our window sill. I fed him and at some point he would eat from my hands and would even let me pet him. Pigeons are actually really soft lol. When i was seven he didn‘t return anymore so i assume he died around that time. He was the chonkiest of birbs and we loved each other. We would just chill together at the window and enjoy each other‘s company. At one point he even fell asleep on the window sill inside our apartment. He was the cutest and i now have a tattoo of him. His name was rex and i still remember him every day Also lowkey scary but very funny, recently my dog got attacked by a pigeon. Nothing happened and nobody got hurt, so i can laugh a bit, but i have never seen that happen before because pigeons are usually very peaceful creatures. That did make me laugh at my dog‘s expense though. He‘s fine and still likes to run after pigeons though!

I wonder if any bird even came near this? I mean it seems rather colourful for a bird to live in (though it looks really lovely for human eyes as a decoration, love the pastel tones and the little flowers on the wall), plus the place you have it hanged seems really exposed and not usual place for a bird to nest. But I don't know maybe you have more phlegmatic birds in America (I mean one does see lots of videos of birds feeding from someone's hands directly, which drives me mad because having a hard time every time I try to take a pic of a bird int he wild), so how does it look - did a bird claim as theirs home yet?
