Customizable Educational Computer Games Overview
Get an overview of a handful of websites that give you the ability to create custom educational computer games online for free. Is it just me or do many of these games/game makers look like they're from the year 2000? Of course, if they work, they work, but I remember myself as a student making fun of every teaching tool/method that looked more than 5 years old. You seem positive about these examples, do you get positive responses from students?

Yes, I've gotten good reactions from the students for the most part. Some of the games are pretty wacky, and I don't mind if they make fun of the games a bit. As long as they're practicing and learning. The game shows probably get the best responses. As I said in the video, I'm not very happy with the options that are out there right now. The ones I show in the video are the best I'm aware of that are editable / customizable. I'm not really interested in games that aren't customizable to my classroom. Just a few years ago there were more options, but one by one they've gone out of business or disappeared. One of my motives for making this video is I'm hoping someone out there knows about better options or at least similar ones that you can tell me about. Thanks for watching.

I don't know of any, sorry. I run a blog about using existing video games for education, since so many of them have that potential (and there are few - easy to use - customizable games out there).
