Customers Buy Out Store’s Doughnuts So Owner Can Care for His Sick Wife

A California doughnut shop has people lining out the door before the sun even comes up. Customers at Donut City in Orange County come to buy as many doughnuts as possible, sometimes dozens at once. The doughnuts are good, but the reason people are splurging on them is much sweeter than the actual treats. People are buying out the store’s inventory daily so the shop's owner can close early and go home to take care of his beloved wife, who's recovering from a brain aneurysm. #InsideEdition

That’s right, being a child immigrant, I was treated like an outsider by the kids in school and that stayed with me. But the story has changed for me, and I now I know me and my family were a precious part of The Great America. Like this man, most of the parents of my friends knew me because of my dad and his shop. I never knew why at the time. Now I know that they would be talking about us at the dinner table etc, and that my father was a very respected man in my town. So now I have grown up and have a whole new version of my childhood. Like a funny way to say it is that I was always a rockstar, I just didn’t know it. We really don’t openly show each other enough appreciation. This is a good story.

The update makes this story so much better! The wife recovered almost 100% and is working in the doughnut shop again. It took 2 weeks in the hospital, 3 months in a rehabilitation center and intensive physical therapy. And the doughnut shop has become a bit of a tourist hot-spot, with people coming from all over the world to buy donuts and take a picture with them. A quote from the husband: "“Seal Beach is a wonderful city - like family to us,” John Chhan said. “But the most important thing is, she got better. I am so thankful for her.”" Full news story: www.ocregister.com/2019/11/27/one-year-after-inspiring-viral-kindness-seal-beach-donut-city-couple-celebrate-health-and-love/

Say a business earns $1200 a month. That's big in my country. Ok? Continuing, Monthly rent is maybe $300. Monthly loan payment is $60. Internet is $30 which is only 50 gb a month. School tuition fee of college kid is $125 a month. Other expenses like food and utility bills. Also the freaking tax. Paying 300$ to owner for rent then paying 36$ to govt for tax. Another tax for sales as I have said.

People don't really know that america is called the melting pot. It wasn't started by a white man. It was started by a country who didn't have a race. I wish It would go back to a peaceful place. My brother who is african american tried playing with a white girl and I'm guessing her father snatched her up and practically ran away with the most horrible look on his face. Yeah my brother had the whole park to himself, but he is 8 autistic and wants nothing in the world but a friend. I just wish this world would be happy for once.
