*Leo Getz mode /on* Ok-ok-ok-ok... So I was checking the wipers and fluid on a works vehicle and I found stashed on the scuttle panel a Snap-On quarter inch drive ratchet... True story! Actually this is true but the mechanism was pretty much seized solid so I left it to sit it a bag of WD40 for a few weeks, cleaned all the crud off it, flushed it with more WD40 and then let it sit in some veg oil for a few days. I now have a perfectly working Snap-On quarter inch drive 😊

The 10mm and 1/2" ratchet socket has to be by far the most often replaced due to loss. Remember. No matter where are you drop a socket in an engine compartment, it WILL fall to the physical center of the vehicle.

We were all fascinated on a forum where a guy was carefully making a bracket for a Buick V8. (External pump one) He cuts it all out, drills it, files it and bolts it to the oil pump lid. We follow the whole thread and it’s a tampax holder for the inevitable oil leak.
