0:00 Intro.
0:05 "We told her this is exactly why we promote pre-purchase inspections to ensure our customers don't buy someone else's problems."
0:19 This Jeep has a FAD (front axle disconnect), so that's why the front driveshaft does not spin all the time, otherwise that wiring harness would be ripped off and around the driveshaft.
0:29 You can modify the exhaust so the driveshaft is out of the way, but preferably when a Jeep has a certain height of lift kit it's recommended to replace the driveshafts.
0:40 NSF or NSR stands for near side rear or near side front tire (UK).
Easy fix!
0:53 "Volkswagen Caddy from 2011 with ca. 120000 km.
The Car won't shut off. I never saw anything like that in a car before."
1:03 CDs rattling in the passenger side door.
1:12 What's your opinion on this? Unsafe or safe?
1:19 Oil trap/oil filter housing was the issue.
1:27 No extra info.
1:35 Honesty is always the best policy however a good reminder to watch some KZread videos or read some more info on a job before giving it a try.
1:44 Toyota's are prone to rodent damage due to the soy based wiring they used. However, the customer didn't realize they put the soap where the fresh air inlet is.
1:54 No issue found!
2:12 A good reminder to read your owner's manual and be aware of what features your car has before buying it.
2:19 This Toyota Tundra had 4x4 badges but wasn't 4WD.
2:28 No extra info.

If it's in the UK, that 2CV is likely to be over 40 years old and therefore doesn't actually need to have the MOT (our inspection), which would usually be annual. If a car over 40 years old is going in for one, it's usually because they've just bought it and want to get it checked over or they've taken it off the road for a number of years and want peace of mind. The car still has to be roadworthy, so even if a car is exempt from the MOT the car can still be stopped for being in a dangerous condition and the driver prosecuted.

  • @556johny556

It’s a 2CV, so if this was in France, the car could’ve been off the road, and therefore not being inspected, or it’s registered as a historic vehicle, meaning the inspections happen every five years, or it’s manufactured prior to 1960 and the rules are different still.

The biggest problem is they don't take notes, pictures or videos to ensure they can put it back together correctly. I replaced my rear struts one time and struggled to get one side back together. I had trouble lining up the bottom end. But I was determined to get it back on. I wasn't about to get a tow. I probably didn't leave the top end loose enough to really get it to move enough or something. Either way i always put it back how I found it. Brakes need to be put back correctly, but you always check your work and listen for any strange sounds and make sure they work.

On Chevettes, the "you're in trouble" indicator is when the seatbelt light comes on cause there's not enough power to run the solenoid even though there's still enough to make sufficient spark, had it happen on 2 different ones so now I call it a feature!

Many years ago my younger brother, then 17 years old, went and bought a nice used Sentra on his own. We lived in a hot climate. He told me about the car, that it had a/c, etc. He drove it over to show me after he paid for it. Under hood I noticed there was no a/c compressor or any a/c components, so I asked him to show me the a/c. He pointed to a dashboard button or control that said air. I laughed and told him that was for outside air, not a/c.

They always told us anything that made you take your eyes off the road for even a second was dangerous, then they put touchscreens that require you to take your eyes off the road in every car and that usually require multiple button presses to do anything. Meanwhile, in my ‘06 Wrangler with its physical knobs and buttons it takes about 3 days to memorize the control functions and about 3 weeks to develop the muscle memory to operate them without looking. Ah, progress!

That guy at the end in the Lincoln didn't have a broken spring; he had a lowrider. He made the car tip on purpose for fun.
