Great video - thanks for posting. Access to these terraced houses can be a real pain! Just a small word of caution, as I can see you are very careful of not straying over onto a neighbour's property. Here the vertical line to take would have been the edge of the neighbour's gutter (not the wall). The neighbour's extension wall was set back from the centre of the main house to allow for the gutter. If the extension wall was built on the dividing line, then the gutter would be intruding onto your client's property. The extension would never have got through planning permission. A small point but, given that some "neighbours" can be a royal pain, worth remembering. With best wishes, Rob

I don't know if you've played with one, but, there are sand blasting atachments available for pressure cleaners. Don't know it it would be appropriate for this job. (prob not) Don't buy a cheap one, they last about 10 minutes. The good heavy ones, work very well and last very well. They do however go thru sand at a freocious rate and can be very messy. Ya gona want at least a cap, face shield and an apron or raincoat. Even if the noise doesn't bother you, wear ear muffs, keeps the sand out of your ears. you'll need a shower and change of clothes after. They will take paint and rust off steel depending on the grit and pressure used. They will draw reasonbly well straight from a bucket or bag, but work better from a prersureized hopper. No big compressor needed.

Hi Tatjana, I remember you saying how much you enjoy seeing it, so thought of you when recording 🙂. Yes your right, the lower bricks were still slightly grey, I think they were quite deeply stained with with carbon. I could have gone over them a bit more, but was worried about damaging the brick, so thought i'd err on the side of caution, as the difference between what they were and looked like after cleaning was still quite strong. Good idea, next time i'll go into more detail as to why i'm doing it, and what blast material i'm using. Many thanks as always 💕

Hi Nick, wonderful job as usual but I am wondering why no chemicals on the walls but it was okay for the patio? Brick damage?
@PrestigeExternalCleaning
7 ай бұрын
Hi Alina, it's a good question. The chemical needed to remove the staining on the bricks (carbon) is hydrofluoric acid (HF), quite a nasty acid that requires me to mask up the windows as it can etch them. It's also quite dangerous stuff to get on your skin, eyes etc. The acid I used for the rust removal still needs to be shown respect, and handled with care, but doesn't damage glass, and isn't as dangerous to skin, eyes etc, that is brick acid, aka hydrochloric acid (HC). I used hypo on the paving. The customer was okay with me using hypo and HC acid, but not HF acid. Hope that explains it for you 👍
