That's a nice idea and looks good in my opinion. Thanks Stuart.
Fitted the Motone fork brace today, after watching this video. Took my T120 up Angeles Crest afterward - noticeable improvement in handling and stability in corners. Highly recommended component. As always, thanks for the videos, Stuart - cheers from LA.
Another very well produced and informative video Stuart. Thank you.

Hey Stuart, I ordered a brace after your video. I got the chrome version so to match the fender. I was going to ask why loosening the pinch bolt, but you answered that. Will let you know when I get it installed and see if I feel any better stability. Thanks again Stuart.
That's a good looking fork brace!
Thank you, I requested a review of fork braces a while back, this is helpful!

Mr. Fillingham- I received a Motone fork brace in the mail about the same time your video on the subject came available, so your instructions proved quite helpful (Motone did not choose to include an instruction sheet). I agree with your evaluation of the excellent quality of this product. My initial ride with the brace installed gave me a nice surprise I had not anticipated; that the straight-line stability of my '06 Thruxton was markedly better than before. I reckon that there was more movement in the stock fork setup than I had appreciated! I believe that the cornering stablilty of my bike is also much improved. I think that anybody who owns an air-cooled Thruxton should strongly consider installing a fork brace, and the Motone product seems like a good choice. I look forward to learning your riding impressions of your Bonneville with the brace installed; I would suspect that you will find improvements with your machine too.

Hi Robert, thanks for your input! Its nice to hear that the improvement is noticeable, The stock set up is acceptable but there is always room for improvement, I cant wait to try it out myself!
Haha! Watching your video and started feeling a little dizzy! LOL. :-P Damn, that's a beautiful bike... And the fork brace is a very subtle and awesome addition. And it's beefy too!

Another excellent video, sir. The importance of proper fork braces cannot be stressed enough (when I was a kid I foolishly went 14-inches over with a 2-inch rake at the neck and needed to add two additional braces just to keep the damned forks from twisting ; ). Love your Triumphs, BTW. My goal is to find a nice injected T100 once I sell my K1200RS. Cheers

Indeed I have. The seeds for said conversion were planted at age 13 when a friend and I "borrowed" his stepfather's '65 Bonneville one night

Nice bike great video Stuart, but I do feel a bit dizzy.
Hey Stuart , great video , ive got the Brittish customs retro fork braces on order for my 2015 Newchurch , ( motone dont do one for the mag wheels ) & im about to also put in Hagon progressive front springs & the triumph brand gaiters , just wondering if you or any of your viewers sees any issues with this combo ?
Hi Stuart. I’m thinking about buying one of these and installing it on my ac scrambler. It will fit because I also purchased the Motone bracket that brings the front mudguard higher up. Was just wondering if you think it would be ok to remove the factory one after installing this one? Thanks Steve
The brace looks good and the description on how to fit it spot on Stuart.Are they going to have a brace soon for the t120! Also are the front springs are hagon up grade, As there seems to be lots of controlled movement when you bounce them, why do you prefer the hagons against the tec progressive springs, as you said the t120 would upgrade to these also Stuart

Hi Dave I believe Motone are developing one for the WC twins! difficult to put you finger on David the tec springs do feel a little harsh compared to the Hagons although they are a huge improvement over stock. The Hagons do give a far superior ride with superb handling!
To take better selfies, lm still laughing at that one Stuart!

Hi Stuart Great video and the bike is a supper one off . Do you know if motone will make a fork brace for the new water cooled t100/120 . Regards Paul

What about the mag wheel speedy?
Hey Stuart, try this as a cheap project. World of Triumph have the T100 paint protection kit on offer for £15.60 instead of £52. Part number A9930328. (For classic models with rubber kneepads). For Bonneville 2009-2016, T100 2009-2016, T100 Black 2014-2016 & Thruxton 2009-2016.

Hi bikers, can anyone plss explain difference btw this fork brace and steering damper , which one is better to fix on my bonnevilleT120 and what exactly these two products does in high speeds safety, thanks in advance 😊
such a soft suspension ...
Another great video and explanation, but I'm dizzy, can someone sponsor Stuart with a gimbal or a DJI Osmo II mobile 👍

Does anyone else find that any fork brace designed for use with gaiters for the T100/T120 forces the gaiters up slightly and makes them wonky? This is driving me crazy and I don't know if it's just me? Is this perhaps just a trade off you make - function over form? Look at 3:14 vs 7:13 in this video, I love the look of the fork brace but the gaiters look terrible all squashed up and wonky. I'd love it if someone were to make some shorter gaiters for fitment with a brace but can't find them anywhere online - ever heard of this?
wait, did you say it wont fit the mag wheel bikes? really, what is different?
Tyre looks good enough to pass an MOT to me

Yes, I think I would take them off now, the extra exposed chrome would accent the front too.
Please dont do that thing where you spin around the bike filming it again, made me all dizzy!! Do you think this improvment along with the tec-bike front suspension upgrade on the t120 is a good combo for the t120? And is the brace available for t120? Cheers!
@stuartfillingham
6 жыл бұрын
Ill try not to! there is no brace for the T120 yet although motone have one in development. The Hagon springs have had a far better effect on the T100 than the tec springs did on the T120. so my money would be on the Hagon springs.
@Levin1919

stuart fillingham would you do the same procedure with the hagon on t120 as u did with the tec? I meen would you keep the original oil and plastic bushings (only exchange the springs)?
@stuartfillingham
6 жыл бұрын
everything is the same except hagon recommend a 5wt oil. having said that I do know someone who left the 10wt oil in and said it was fine, a vast improvement!
Can’t watch at the mo, feeling dizzy, I think it’s because you’re going around in circles on the filming of the bike. 😖
