Car Audio Fabrication - Master Car Audio - Design, Build, Install

Do the grooves like you did on the front of the box (by the logo)... it’ll be simple but also not plain. While coordinating with what you have already
Gorgeous work! My 2cents on the flat/plain areas on top of the box, kept them like that. It balances out some of the more intricate character lines and keeps the whole thing from being too busy. Maybe consider upholstering those spots in a factory material found elsewhere in the vehicle to tie it all in. For instance, my vehicle has a really unique woven plastic texture on the a/b/c pillar beauty panels (2015 Focus St)
I like things simple. All the details you’ve done are enough in my opinion. Your work looks polished and when you get the wrap on, you will see how well it turns out! I think you’ll like it.
Great work! I would use Baltic Birch Plywood instead of MDF. I know car audio primarily uses MDF but your craftsmanship deserves a quality material.
This guy is a genius
Looks awesome I would say add 7 slots on each side It would be nice and Subtle but would represent the Jeep grille. Kinda tie in to Jeep really well. Great work!!!!!
Love your videos man, it has thought me a lot in a just a few days by watching most of your videos. it's just hard when you don't have most of the tools, but I still find alternatives.
Build 2 small custom 7 band spectrum anylizers. One for left & one for right.
I would add the grooves on the compartment lids, but either way the Box looks beautiful as it is right now. Excellent work brother.😎👍
Always super enjoy watching you how you do things and learning, appreciate you!!!
I love it plain and simple. It just has to sound good, that's my philosophy. I appreciate what you're doing but I always take these kind of videos lightly and pick out all the valuable experiences you share with us. See, I would'nt watch the whole video if it wasn't for you, that's what I'm trying to say. Hope this gives you strength, hope, motivation and fortitude in what you're doing. You certainly give all that to us, the viewers. Greetings from Germany
I think you should use the foam technique you haven’t used in a while to make a design for the plain area that cascades to the covers of the storage compartments. This way you are not cutting any more mdf and give the box a custom yet standard look if you use carpet to wrap the area. I prefer leather but it’s your design.
Keep it plain, clean, and simple. 👍 Lovely work.
I agree with @VincePhi. The absolute most would be groove lines as in the front face of the box. Too much on the top will make it too busy and take away from what i think would be the focal point.
Clean. Keep it simple.
U did a great job on that box
For the top panels some routed coves like you have on the face panel with your logo would tie it together IMO. The round of the logo mimics the round of the speaker, then coves to mimic the front coves.
Route out grooves on the top similar to what you did on the emblem plate to give it a matching look.
Great Vid as always. The side panels are a bit plain, but there's an easy way to fix it. Just use a different colour/texture of vinyl or carpet. Adds a nice accent, without having do do any more routing. Keep the sweet vids coming.
If it were my box, I would leave it as is. It looks great and the flat area contrasts with the shapes making the shapes stand out more. The only change I might make would be to add anchor points for tying down luggage in the plain area.
I think two small equalizers (one on each side) will looks great. Or small LCDs can be fine.
keep it clean, keep going with your great work!!
That box went from sick af to wtffff siiiiick.
Excellent job 👍
man i wish i had that workshop!
Another vote for the grooves. Great job as usual.
I’ve been watching quite a few of your videos and I thank you for sharing your knowledge and your passion. I am working on my 2011 Escalade do you have any videos of you upgrading the Existing TV monitors to HD
Nice work bruh
Clean look !!!
awesome build! yeah it does look a bit plain compared to the rest of the box
If it were my box, I would carry the scallops from the front to that empty space beside the woofer, would help give it some detail, without being overwhelming.
Damn ...you are the man. I'm a carpenter. And pretty Damn good with wood work. But that there what you do is a talent on it's own... I have to try something like this
Clean and good work byutiful
The work you do is so precise and clean. I'd like to get a template set to help me with my build but my pockets aren't quite deep enough to purchase the mobile solutions sets they have. Are there any similar sets you may recommend that are a touch more budget conscious, or even a method to create your own template sets?? Thanks for any input Mark, it's much appreciated.
I think you should make it flow from the surround of the sub over to the access panels... maybe make the access doors a little thicker to make it have a better transition
nice and clean
marky mark, this was awesome. btw, whens your woodworking channel poppin off? io wanna seem some end tables with beauty panels dang it!
hi i watched your video on the t-line and i am gonna do mine with a 5.25" car speaker. it FS is 82 hz but i don't want to tune the port to 82 so is there a probleme tuning it for 45hz (i don't want a flat response juste a nice low end)
What does the “middle assembly” actually do?
Looks clean like that..
You could add a few very small details to the top like grooves, but I'd keep it really simple other than that
Show you skills bro if I had the tools I would, great job 👍.....
Keep it clean!!
I like it clean
Nice work bro
Hey Mark. You're killing it with the skills man. Am I seeing this right? You're making a downfire 2-10s and the RF super woofer box for the same vehicle simultaneously?

The down-fire is a Grand Cherokee, this is a Wrangler. Two very different vehicles.

Gotcha.
Leave it and keep it clean
You would be a good cabinet maker
Sorry for being a newb but is it possible to add bracing to a box like a ported ground shaker? Thanks.
Nice bro
Fire extinguisher mounted to the blank area.
I need a subwoofer enclosure for a 2019 Subaru STi that doesn’t take up the all the trunk space and let’s me fold the rear seats down. Maybe a sub box that fits in the side cavity of the trunk.
I say leave it nice and clean
How do I splice two amp remote wires? Less than 1000 watts total. Thanks DA
nice man
Nice and clean and is that the port of the enclosure
How come you didn't make the beauty panels out of PVC? how much weight was added with all those MDF pieces?
Does magnets panels not vibrating when subwoofer is loading loud power ?
Gorgeous. What does all that wood weigh?
What kind of router are you currently using for your projects?
The upper panel needs more detail work...add some more ribs or grooved inserts ,with a 45 degree chamfer
It's a shame you live so far away, I'd love to do a colab with your interior skills and my DIY Supercar build. But at least I can learn some great tips from you. Keep up the great content. ;)
Keep it clean..
4:16, same style dust mask I have! ;)
Your boxes and panels always look nice. I expect all of that MDF adds enough weight to effect the vehicles MPG. What is the total weight of your complete enclosure?
@CarAudioFabrication
5 жыл бұрын
I would estimate this to add about 200 pounds to the vehicle. One adult worth of weight. There is a trade off with everything. If you are driving a Prius and trying to set a record for fuel economy then obviously this isn't for you. Saving fuel isn't the goal with this system.
I sure hope you add heavy duty overload springs so you can haul 3400 pounds of MDF around !! 🤣🤣
@Kappafied
5 жыл бұрын
Christopher Black I was thinking that. What a hulking big, heavy rig this is. It’s awesome, but damn!
Id leave the area alone except making colors contrast each other
Keep it plain but do a beauty panel if you want. I just wanna see the end results. What happened to the Pontiac build???????
Keep it clean. Don't over do it
What’s the weight of the box with all that extra eye candy ???
i'd keep it clean like it is.
embosed in that blank space
DO the magnets rattle when the sub is cranking?
@CarAudioFabrication
5 жыл бұрын
Common question, the answer is no. These magnets are incredibly strong. They aren't some normal fridge magnets. They have a hold strength of something like 30 pounds each.
I just need your wood budget! 😉😂
I hate to ask how much this box costs?
Leave it and keep it clean...
...add a little more dimension to the panel...
Lines like the face
Jesus! you got enough wood in there bud?
The top is okay
I think it's got plenty of detail I would leave that spot alone
Are you fucking kidding me!?!? Just when I think my install is looking good,,,, "POOF"!!! up pops one of your videos! Like I've said before I have a brand new Volkswagen Passat with an ample amount of system equipment in much need of your professional expertise and I would be willing to drive it to wherever you are if you would like to use it in one of your videos hint hint!! Lmao!!
Mark - Leave it plain. I don't think you want to draw people's attention to this area and the doors for the bins.
