Just built my i7-14700k with 92gb ddr5 5600 RAM max 192gb have an RX580 for design and light gaming
How are the CPU temps at high work loads with the air cooler? I’m piecing out my build and everywhere I see people are saying to use an aio for the 14700k

The Assassin is a phenomenal Cooler! Haven't seen a temp above 85C under full load for long periods of time. Often sitting around 55C while gaming
Is the DeepCool Assassin really a good choice for a productivity build? For gaming maybe, but that 14700K will get pretty hot when rendering for example. Can you share thermals?

It's a perfect choice for Air cooling. CPU temps don't get over 75C under heavy CPU workloads. Full Stress it peaks around 85C.

The cooler is insufficient for a build like this. You’ll be thermal throttling in intense applications. Liquid cooler or gg.

Surprisingly this cooler actually beats most 360mm Liquid Coolers on the market. But we can understand the misconception without testing.

Some air coolers beat most aio's out there without adding the extra risks an aio brings. Also at a lower cost. I've had my Noctua NH-D15 since my very first build, never changed it. Only did so when the black chromax version came out.
