By way of your email that I just received, I agree that doing the work with your hands is better then the work from war. Many People have to hate a lot in order to put a bullet in another human being. War the leading cause of pain and suffering. And I am sorry many have to suffer from mans thinking that it will solve all problems. However, you I never can express enough, for your increditable work. A gift from God. And please forgive me when I say you are a gift. If you do this , just to take the pain away from war, then please do it for all those who suffer from war. Your increditable talent has, I'm sure reached hundreds if not thousands of people suffering everyday. Your gift has reached many are will continue to reach thousands and thousands more. Loved this project and especially loved the music. That took me back to my youth in the 60's and as your father in law is 65 he should remember music like this when he was younger. Its nice when the "younger generation" think of the elderly and give them a gift made with love and attention that you have shown. I am sure that he will cherish this gift for the rest of his life. Personally, I think you could install some LED light strips in it so the sides of the piece glows at night. Seeing the sunlight showing through from the inside made me think of this.
