Curveballs and Blindspots: Navigating Uncertainty | Bobbie LaPorte | TEDxSonomaCounty
In a constantly changing and uncertain world, balance has left the building. Without certainty, we feel that we don’t know anything anymore, and feelings of competence, confidence, and of being in control, disappear. To regain calm and confidence while we navigate complicated lives, we must be ready for anything. Bobbie LaPorte, is Founder and CEO of Bobbie LaPorte & Associates, a Bay Area consulting firm providing leadership and organizational development services to Fortune 500 companies, global organizations and promising start-ups. Before founding her consultancy, Ms. LaPorte served in CEO, COO and CMO roles in several Fortune 50 companies and also led two healthcare technology start-ups.
She has an MBA from Harvard, and a Master’s in Positive Leadership and Strategy from IE in Madrid. Her current focus is on helping leaders and organizations manage through change and uncertainty. Drawing on positive psychology, neuroscience and behavioral science, she provides a practical approach to building the confidence and personal resilience leaders need to be ready for anything. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I'm always intrigued when people talk about the pandemic being the biggest challenge in our modern history etc, like if we're really going to talk about turning negatives into positives why don't we talk about how we were able to overcome the challenges of the pandemic through all these wonderful advancements in technology?

But I feel like every day I am reminded of how lucky I am to have the struggles that I do and to have access to help.
