Jesus! Ummm... I'm a human being who just stumbled across and enjoyed your cover of the late, great Curtis Mayfield classic. PS: Paddy, you nailed it already, but folks, what has one's skin colour, age, political affiliation or anything else got to do with one's capacity to appreciate the universal language of music? Focusing on or 'identifying' with such labels merely serves to feed the flames of disharmony, even though I don't believe either Scott nor John mean anybody ill. People are being manipulated and conditioned. If you don't know where that leads, read George Orwell's classics 1984 and Animal Farm, and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Sorry to get political, but what I am witnessing in the USA and UK scares the bejesus out of me.

This is wonderful and inspired music. I cringe when I think about bands ruining great tunes. This version of a great song sounds completely new, this is not a wanna be rendition. I do not hear a single flaw, just inspired music played with smooth control and great passion.The guitar is awesome and crystal clear, great playing very atmospheric and impressive maturity. The drums are straight ahead excellent and the organ is soulful, perfect sound for this tune. Jadens voice is wonderful as she creates this as her song not a knockoff of a great Mayfield tune. To my ears this shows the artistry of three musicians worth paying attention to.

I agree. She is very talented. Indeed all three excel. I just think it needs some low down funky grunt... It needs bass!

Excuse my french, but holy fuck this is good. I love the everything from the instrument phrasing to the unpretentious singing free of over dubbed crap everyone with a mic and Garage Band thinks they're a singer. Love the emotions you guys showed while playing as well. You just got a new fan. More old bad ass covers please!

Wow thank you! I recorded and mixed this in my home studio in Englewood, Colorado. I now have a family and moved south of Denver in hopes of building a new studio on my property someday... kids are getting older, so I hope to get back into it soon :).

I saw Jaden for the first time last year at the Mish opening for Robert Cray. Absolutely stunned at what i was hearing from the stage, have seen her one more time since and she is the real deal! Knock 'em dead kid!!

Made sure to catch jaden at summercamp this year after seeing this video. I was not disappointed!

Couldn't agree more. I've heard about 10 or 12 versions. Love this one the most. I must have listed to it no less than 50 times, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row. Great band, very tight and talented! and BTW...I'm a 62 Y.O. white dude...FWITW....

Man I’ve been listening to this song for years basically got recommended it when it came out (yes your version) the clear talent and musicianship here is top tear. As a guitarist I must say your feel and articulation is awesome.

As an experienced and moderately accomplished guitarist, I am simply stunned. The whole band is killer, but the guitar...gads. The touch, the taste, the tone...Fuchs Yeah! Jokes aside, simply astounding. Jaden, you're amazing but you're not yet my favorite guitarist, I'll still give the nod to Larry or Robben, but in a couple of years that could well change. You are soooo gifted, I look forward to hearing what your fingers and mind will bring forth in the future. Just wow. Freakin wow.
