Loved this album, one of the most underrated albums of the 80's

Suzanne Vega has written so many good songs, great to hear this one.

Good to hear she had still got such a good voice.

Time has actually given her voice a bit more gravity, which really works here. Great performance. Was anyone there?

Suzanne sounds as great as ever. Love, love, lover her voice. Gerry Leonard on guitar brings the music to life and gives it more depth. Fantastic.

I love Suzanne Vega!! Really as a kid, she was the first person with my name that I knew who was famous! I have quite a few of her albums including this one and saw her at The Pavilion in Glasgow years ago; she was amazing.

They sound excellent and amazingly full for 2 people.

I have seen both Suzanne and Gerry Leonard twice and they do put on a really good show. Suzanne is so underrated both as a songwriter and performer.

Big thanks to GERRY LEONARD ...great guitarist.

Same. Did a roadie to New Plymouth in 1987 and listened to that album over and over again. Still in love.

I’ve been going to Glastonbury since 97 ….and Suzanne at the Acoustic Stage is always the first act I look for ♥️

Her voice is still perfect, and the guitar work by the guy on the left is awesome

Cool, so cool. That song shone in an era of electro and hair metal (no judgement) and almost forty years later I still get the same feeling that I'm listening to a work of art. There are still true artists out there, untethered by boxes. They're just a bit older now...

The first song I heard/saw was Small Blue Thing, which she performed on The Tube when it was released in 1985 I think.

If I remember rightly from previous festivals the BBC has a semi-private quiet performance area for interviews and 1-3 song acoustic sets, which they then release on iplayer, or show between major stage sets when broadcast ("earlier today we got a set with... " type )

Why don't the BBC put on this concert. She just does not come up to the North East anymore. I saw her live back in Newcastle in 2005 and again at the Sage Gateshead, and she was really very good. Very enjoyable performances. I have all her albums, and much rare footage from tv appearnces.

Except for Paul M, Wolf Alice, Gabriels, Crowded House, Wet Leg, Billy Ellish , Plant/Krauss etc. !

Far higher quality songwriting than many of the younger bands ... classic .And far more solid imsge than all those student-looking bands with their jeans and t shirts and no idea whatsoever of what its like to have a strong aesthetic
