As a Mexican it is great to see these potential scenarios. Also, thank you for using the SASMEX Alert System sound. It makes it more realistic lol.
Oh god also realizing that Mexico City is a ancient lake bed, it’ll be absolute DISASTER if this happens

7:37 I Wouldn't Wanna Take A Vacation In Mexico City During That Super Intense Shaking
The biggest earthquake to hit Mexico was an 8.6 quake that struck on March 28, 1787.
4 TRIPLE EARTHQUAKE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE TOHOKU EARTHQUAKE
I would even probably feel it in louisiana due to how insanely far the shaking reached
Great job! In the future, please consider and plan to do these earthquakes: 1. 1964 Alaska earthquake (M9.2); 2. 2005 Kashmir Pakistan earthquake (M7.6); 3. 2010 Canterbury earthquake (M7.0~7.1); 4. April 7, 2011 Miyagi earthquake (M7.1~7.2); 5. 2016 Kaikoura earthquake (M7.8); Thank you very much!
In fact, the 1787 New Spain earthquake (M 8.6) is somewhat similar to this cursed M 9.2 Mexico City Earthquake scenario in terms of magnitude, locations, intensity distribution and affected areas, just slightly smaller magnitude and slightly different.
I am a structural geologist based in the UK. I did a Masters on the Fracture Mechanics of quartz and a PhD on the formation of shear zone s. I continued doing research, particularly on the Devonian basins of Norway and Scotland, until my funding ran out. I started doing consulting work while waiting for that elusive permanent university post to come along. 33 years later I'm still consulting, but I have given up waiting. I've worked mainly on nuclear waste disposal problems and for the oil industry, so no environmental issues at all. I started contributing to Wikipedia in July 2006, concentrating on adding content to structural geology . I started on Wikimedia commons in March 2008, although I had already created and uploaded a bunch of images to Wikipedia, I just hadn't thought to bring them here. I'll be copying my existing images over when I get a moment,
Great job! On the other hands, I think it would be more interesting to do more real earthquake that actually happened, better than doing a lot cursed earthquake scenario. For example, I would suggest doing M6.9~7.0 March 2021 Miyagi earthquake next. There are still a lot real earthquakes actually happened that did not done yet and a lot cursed earthquake scenario that already done. And also, I would suggest doing April 7, 2011 Miyagi Earthquake (M7.1~7.2) and April 11, 2011 Fukushima Earthquake (M6.6~7.0) next. Thank you very much!
Great job! On the other hands, I think it would be more interesting to do more real earthquake that actually happened, better than doing a lot cursed earthquake scenario. For example, I would suggest doing M9.2 1964 Alaska earthquake next, and M7.6 2005 Kashmir earthquake in the future. There are still a lot real earthquakes actually happened that did not done yet and a lot cursed earthquake scenario that already done. For the cursed earthquake scenario, it is better to do the earthquakes that may happened in theory, which means real rupture zone there, rather than the earthquakes that not possible to happened or without real rupture zone there.

For example, the "M 9.0 New York Subduction Zone scenario" is the earthquake that not possible to happen since there is no actual rupture zone there for such earthquake to happen. This one, M9.2 Mexico City earthquake, is possible since real rupture zone there and potential to happen.

For the cursed earthquake scenario, I mean it is better to do based on the real rupture zone that actually exist and potentially support such earthquake that possible to happen. This one is a good one.

@@Shindo7earthquakeAlso why are the chances low ? Is that because unlike its siblings the Cascadia to the North and the Peru-Chile Trench to the south it experiences more frequent smaller earthquakes than the other ones ?
2:31 M 8.5 has Shindo 7 R5 and the Warning Earthquake Early on the day Mexico City and Tsunami warning
Shindo can you do 3-4 scenario earthquakes for Greece?I want a 9.5 north of crete,A 7.5 earthquake at the Corinthian gulf and an 7.5 and 8.2 in atalanti fault 120km west of Athens put the epicenters in the sea and the map should be the whole map of Greece and tsunami 20-30m high
What are you using to do these videos?
In short, try to do more real earthquakes rather than the cursed earthquake scenario. In the case of doing cursed earthquake scenario, it is best to do them based on seismology, based on the real earthquake zones (rupture zone, fault zone, subduction zone) all over the world, so that these earthquakes can potentially possible to happen real with corresponding earthquake zone based on seismology; rather than the earthquakes without earthquake zone for such earthquake to happen real, which means the earthquakes impossible to happen based on seismology.
Can you do the Manila Trench? The fault line has many sections, you can also do a cursed vid!

Is the severe shaking in mexico city due to its geographical location? I know that the city sits upon a pre-colonial lake which could explain why it’s susceptible to sinking and earthquakes

@peacekeepers_error

The X means the epicenter (the symbol will vary between countries) Most countries will use a star as the epicenter but in Japan the epicenter is marked as a X or in Mexico it could be a dot (I could be wrong so correct me if you know)
