The next video in our series on the history of the Currie Cup looks back at the mid to late 80's when provincial power again shifted from Western Province to Northern Transvaal. Naas was back from the USA and he lead the Blue Bulls into a new era when they would play in five consecutive Currie Cup finals between 1987 and 1991.
Look out for probably the greatest individual performance in a final ever when Naas scored 24 points in 1987 to beat a much fancied Transvaal team at Ellispark.

Strange so little is said about team doctors. NT had Brigadier. E.Hugo a orthopedic surgeon at 1Mil hospital as team doctor!
