Holy fuck this song is BRUTAL. Brians more death metal-esque screams and growls have gotten so much heavier, on top of his normal metal screams already being meaty af. This goes so hard.

You know a song is so good and you’ve been waiting so long for it when your first listen has you laughing in excitement during a breakdown or intro riff. I absolutely love the feeling of first listens when the song is so good. I haven’t felt this feeling since make them suffers doomswitch last year and I listen to ALOT of bands

I'll be fair, Fall Out Boy had the same thing happen with Folie A Deux. It is a cult classic. Give it time. I'm JUST discovering this band and started with The Way It Ends. I'm just barely giving this a listen cuz the other is on repeat. Best discovery ever! They push my boundaries with music!

the level of sheer vocal perfection in the verse starting at 1:57 still leaves me shaken every time i hear it, and knowing he nails moving from lows all the way up to highs during live shows makes me CRY dude. i need to see this live.

That absolutely brutal section at about 2 mins in, had me literally freaking out, I was so caught off guard and just kept repeating “Holy f*ck”, lol. I’m excited to listen through the rest of the album. I wish it was a bit longer tbh tho, by adding another ballad/song or two maybe, but I’m sure it will be quality over quantity. A 10 song banger-fest with an “all killer, no filler” kind of attitude, akin to Phinehas’ album in 2021.

Haven’t listened to the full album yet, but I relistened to the song, and it brought me so much joy/hype. It’s convinced me that Brian is the best vocalist atm, no doubt. His range and versatility, is ahead of anyone else I can think of.

Currents have one of, if not the most, consistent discographies out of any band I've come across. I really appreciate how they experiment to keep things fresh but still keep a very distinct Currents sound unlike other bands in the scene *cough* Architects *cough*

The scream at 3:18 is out of this world. I don't know if I should hug him or kill it with fire.

With wings now cut, we spiral down We're left with nothing and you call this peace. Best part of the song, IMO

Completely agree. I’ve been into this genre since my military days with “Stand Up and Scream” Asking Alexandria back in 2011. Currents is my personal ALL TIME. Hard to stay unique in this age but they do it every single time.

My dumb ass thought the album dropped on the 12th even though I pre-ordered a The Death We Seek shirt. I sit down to finally give the album a listen and I have to pause the 2nd track for a breather. Not even finished with this song and it's already my favorite Currents song of all time. The heaviness, the bounce of the rhythm and the screams, and then the clean vocals come in and blow me away with the melody. God damn guys! Favorite band of the last few years and you keep pushing the boundaries. Never lose this sound!

I love this new trending of Mick-Gordon-Doom-ish in this new era of Metalcore, it really adds a lot of brutality also the intro reminds me a lot of Artifical Suicide by Bad omens

@@11dollabagel-ce2og A number of Video Games, actually. He started his signature sound in Wolfenstein New Order, and refined it to a sharp T in the Doom Reboots and Wolfenstein New Colossus.

This song shocked everyone, it's absolutely INSANE. It's got everything you want in a Metalcore track. The rage & attitude from this track is one of the many things Currents has, that other bands have failed to hit with me.

This song got me out of a pretty damn bad rage moment. Thank you.
