Greetings from UK. I guess we are all here because we are in the same club. I haven't sleep all night and am still awake. I know we are all different ages. I used to think it's the static and hissing of the earth rotating I just want to say you are all wonderful people and do not despair. Maybe I decided today to relax and look for a miracle with prayer. The miracle is I guess after 70 years to know we can still smile and always hope for relief. Guess I felt critical stage last night but hey presto I found this work of Art from a caring designer God uses people in many ways. I think in my mind we need to chill out a bit more and realise God is in charge of this planet and we are all unique. Keep chilled This aid is an aid in my mind to calm the firing in my head. I must admit it would be nice to have a deck chair maybe with a fishing rod. I like salmon myself. Keep on believing life is wonderful

Life may not be perfect, but in all it is still wonderful and miraculous. The best part of my "cure" is in helping others to rise above this oppressive phenomenon of the brain. Science has it's place, but ultimately it's a soul thing. It's about this community of helpers and unmet friends sharing encouragement and love. As we realise the value of acceptance and abandon the traps of denial and anger and despair, alienation, paranoia and self pity; then the saving grace of a special happiness can start to grow as the quiet confidence of accomplished overcomers. May we all know this blessing and begin living life once more with greater compassion.

I've had tinnitus for a few months now. For the longest time it was basically unnoticeable but a week ago it suddenly became unbearable. Only 2 hours of sleep a night and constant anxiety from the noise made functioning nearly impossible for me. I found this searching for ways to reduce the ringing and decided to try it and it's been a blessing. I've finally managed to get some sleep. I don't know how it helps but it does and now I can finally get some sleep. Thank you.

Nothing can be done. It’s for the rest of your life. On my own I did a lot of research. Thanks God for internet! Just came across Art of Zen. It’s working! Ringing came down significantly! It’s so low that hardly can notice. When I’m busy don’t pay attention to low volume of ringing. This is amazing! I strongly recommend to listen for couple hours a day. It helps! It’s working! I've had tinnitus for 20 years. I have since learned how to put it down as background noise. However, for the first few months, I thought I was going to be driven stark raving mad by the incessant bad TV tuner noise. The four things that really helped me the most were cutting way down on caffeine, salt, alcohol and sugar. When you have tinnitus, anything that increases your blood pressure is also going to increase the noise in your ears, I have found from personal experience. Cutting back on these things caused the tinnitus to ramp down by 80%. I had relief at last. Perhaps it will work for you as well......🙂

I agree with this completely. When I have a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly my tinnitus decreases. The main thing I realised is that salt/ sodium increases the level of ringing so much. If I cut salt out of my diet for 2 weeks the tinnitus is around level 1 out of 10. It never completely goes but lifestyle plays a big factor in tinnitus levels I believe.

I've had tinnitus all my life. I'm 41. I never thought of it as a problem because it has always been there. It's just there, like a pimple that never goes away. I often wonder what its like to have complete silence. It must be beautiful. Along with the ringing there is something else there. Pressure maybe? This track does help very much.

Except for the part about the pressure, I could have written this message. I can't remember a time when I didn't have tinnitus, and it's always present - sometimes it's louder or quieter but it's never gone. It doesn't bother me at all. Like you, I occasionally wonder what complete silence would be like, but the tinnitus doesn't distress me. I think I was in my 40s when I heard that some people are driven to the edge of insanity by it. When I was 10, I remember telling my parents that it was never absolutely quiet, that there was always a sound out there. They agreed with me, and I took that as confirmation that everyone heard it. It was only much later it occurred to me they didn't know what I was talking about - which is weird because my dad had tinnitus. He told me that when he was a kid, he told an aunt about the sound he heard, and she told him not to tell anyone because people who hear sounds that aren't there are crazy. It seems louder when it's quiet, so I'd lie in bed at night picturing a long line of r's coming out of the darkness onto my ears. At that time I didn't realize the sound was coming from inside me. I had a particular attachment to the letter R, because it's the first letter in my first name, the middle letter in my middle name, and the last letter in my last name. So I guess all those r's coming at me were comforting. ;)

@@rebeccawoolfolk5377 The main problem is who I am. I've spend my entire teenage mostly in silent place like libraries and in my own room reading books. It's very difficult adjusting to the sound because it keeps changing with the intensity. It's mostly more of a buzzing sound in both ears. I've always been a loner, and have enjoyed music, art and literature very much. Now I just cannot seem to get back to my old self. It's already been 4 months but still I'm not able to concentrate on anything. I cannot enjoy reading, cannot study, it's terrible.I just want a simple life with books and peace. I just want to study and go into academics, that's all, which now appears to be impossible! Did it affect your studies while growing up? You seemed to have lived quite a normal life with it. I started having tinnitus when I took antidepressants too (Effexor) in 2020, a possible pernicious side effect the doctors never talk about when they prescribe you some. You take some meds to try to heal your depression but those meds give you a bigger reason to be depressed: thx to doctors who don’t give a s*** about side effects...It makes me sooo angry🙈Had to stop antidepressants (they were about to screw up my entire nervous system) but the tinnitus continued. The noise videos help me a lot to live with tinnitus, especially this one: my tinnitus decreases or stops for a few hours when I listen to it for about twenty minutes. Good luck to you!

To Ken C., The phenomenon of this condition subjects us to several phases to endure. There's bewilderment, anger, self pity, paranoia, neurosis and even psychosis to be dealt with. It's really alienating because "normal" people don't have a clue what torture it can be. It's been three+ years for me and this 90 decibel steel on steel scraping plus ten thousand amplifed cicadas-on-meth from hell have driven me nuts, my brother... Only this sense of community with other sufferers has given me a bit of hope, so I'm glad you've reached out instead of blowing your brains out! It can produce psychosis unless we wake up... out of compassion for ourselves and those who care about us. The best choice is to really get good at serious coping skills, developing patience, learning to accept that it's not going away if it's serious and in the brain, and to not fall into despair over it. We are not alone! This community is more important than all those clueless (but sincere) researchers and doctors. The greatest help is just to talk about it and going beyond to actually help and encourage others. It takes our minds off our own misery and at least gives a new sense of purpose in life. Got to take the art and skill of coping with this terrible phenomenon seriously until we get good at it. Got to be patient and kind to yourself! I'm saying this from experience, brother. You've got unmet friends out there and in these chats rooting for your triumph over this 24/7 brain-rape of noise... Blessings to you and God help us all!

If you could ever find time to make a Christmas version of this I would be grateful. Carol of the bells and such played in similar tones over water and some Christmas effects.

Excellent music, it really covers the various sounds in my left ear. I only have tinnitus in the left ear, should I use the headphones in both ears to balance? Or do I only use it on my left ear?

😅happy tears. My T is not ringing or high sounds. Its a pulsing machinery-like sound. None of the other hz tones mask my T at all. This combination is MAGIC 🥰🙏❤️

At first the sound annoyed me! I thought who would want to listen to a sound similar to tinnitus!? So I kept listening while I ran to the comments to find out. 5-10mins later I hit pause. It actually worked!! Kinda.. The buzzing is still around but no noise, if that makes sense.

I've had tinnitus for five years. Most of the time I have managed but just recently ( stress-related) it has been ferocious, made me almost off balance and scared I couldn't handle it anymore. This music is the first bit of real relief I've had in weeks. I can actually sit still now. Interesting how it's making my left ear itch( worst ear) and little shooting pains in my head. Thanks, I feel so calm.
