We are 60 and preparing for retirement and we have spent our adulthood thrifting just about everything we own, except for our underwear, bed mattresses, our appliances and some of our shoes. Our go to's are also our local FB no buy groups, Marketplace and then thrift shopping. Keep doin' it, girl ! You got the right idea. But be cautious not to bring in too much stuff in, which is so easily done. It starts to look messy and just too much. Practice the "one in and one out" rule. When you bring in one new thing, you have to throw, sell, gift or donate one thing you already have in your home. Trust me on this one! lol

And I've been thrifting and going to yard/garage sales for years, but just started collecting antiques in the last year or so. Most of my home is thrifted. Every once in a while there's something cute, especially around the holidays, but yeah - it's real hard. lol. If you have the patience, you can almost always find something more beautiful (and longer lasting) for way cheaper! Plus it's kinda fun treasuring hunting. :)@@tanyajohnston8262
