While driving I place my hand above the screen and use thumb to click on the screen. This way I don't have any issues to click on something.

Had my V2 from new since 03/23 love it...correct with the system taking some getting used too but once you do its fine! Big thank you for the heated seats hack so much quicker setting them up now👍

@@wurf5336 now and again....not as bad as some make out! Once you work out how It works as such ( which does take a few days if I'm honest) It really is not a bad system at all

What is the fuel consumption like ?

Not bad but feel like you went thru those features to quick😮, there's plenty of hidden features in the infotainment but it's best to get familiar with them and know where they are if needed, you can use the voice commands for most things, like choosing radio stations, turn on heated seats rather than going thru the buttons especially at night trying to adjust the temp etc, in a way it's a bit like having alexa do something but she sometimes fails at the same commands as does the voice recognition on the cupra, also be aware of the wiper blades service position, otherwise you find you'll damage the arms if not in correct position 😊

Hello, nice video thanks. A question, in your clima, the color buttons that changes the output of the air is blue. In my cupra sometimes are blue, other times red. Is there any difference or it is just a bug in color? Thank you.

Try navigating through the menus while on the move, bloody dangerous and as for the system itself it's full of bugs and throws a wobbler often then reboots and tells you that there's a fault or a sensor isn't working and may even slam the brakes on for no apparent reason, opens and closes the sunroof, changes settings in the instruments, I could go on but it's a great car.

If you go on any Formentor forum it's the main topic of conversation, some are alright allegedly but so many others spoil ownership of what is a great car especially the VZ2 310 bhp that I have, positives out weigh negatives.@@CarChatTV

Yes, took it to the dealers for as soft ware update, that helped, some over the air software updates as well recently, seems to be more user friendly with every update. @@wurf5336

You just have to do all the software updates. I bought my used formentor 3 months ago. It is from 11/21 and I have had not a single problem with software or hardware

Hi there. Very helpful indeed! Just one question. Do you know if the red/blue heating controls and the white volume controls can be backlit as when driving at night we cannot see them and have to put the cabin light on to use them! Thanks a bunch!

Hey jambo, thanks for the comment. The new models are now backlit, VW realised their mistake when putting in these touch sensitive controls throughout their range and sister companies like Cupra . So all new models should have the upgraded backlit controls. A lot of people have complained about this and you will prob see more videos on KZread about it as well. Thanks for chatting with us 🤗

​@@paulgraves7949I have a 2023 formentor purchased in June 2023 and this doesn't have the backlit buttons.. I suspect that it's going to be either part of the facelift or 2024 models. :(. Pity VW won't put in a recall or something to get this sorted.

When considering replacing my Audi A3 saloon recently, I was seriously considering the Formentor. That I didn't was entirely down to this issue. It was very noticeable that both customer and professional reviewers flagged up issues with the screen.

Funnily enough i just replaced my audi a3 saloon for the VZ2 Formentor. I have had absolutely no issues with the screen and it has far exceeded my expectations. Apple Carplay is faultless and can change most things using the wheel or voice control.

@@adamegbaria5475 absolutely no issues whatsoever. I think a lot of the issues were at launch with several updates fixing the issues people had. It is like getting a new phone, will take you a week or so to get used to the menus but soon becomes second nature. Voice control is also very good should you want to make a change to something without taking your eyes off the road. I purchased it with hesitation around the screen but its responsiveness impressed me, as well as how good apple car play works.

Does the V2 version have a front camera and 360 view like the video you showed?

This would do my head in imagine driving at night wanting to change air conditioning which is not backlit I test drove the VZ2 and you might think I'm crazy but this is why I did not buy it and ended up with a mustang GT instead all physical buttons

Hey Steve, thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts with us. I think the VW group have now rectified this backlit situation on newer models now as they got so much backlash from it. Very nice choice. Love the mustang we got the Bullitt manual version for a week and loved it. However I think the 10 sp auto GT is the way to go in the UK! Thanks for chatting 🤗

You can use voice to control the climate and works with no issues or you can just swipe on the temp at the top of the screen. I use voice to control most things it's a lot easier than messaging about with a screen you can even turn your rear heated window on.

test drove this today, the screen is a distraction and really confusing to use. also very awkard to park as its huge

Can you switch the language in the infotainment example german to english

Anyone figure out how to turn off voice control?

The infotainment system is a disaster and Cupra customer service does not take feedback serious. Unsurprisingly Cupra score the worst in reliability out of 32 car brands

The software update has not changed anything. All favourites were gone, it still frequently restarts while driving. It is so bad that I'm using my phone instead of the infotainment system@@CarChatTV
