Is it really that hard? the boss attaks don't seem too bunched up, hope you know what I mean. Like, the bosses don't spam projectiles like crazy. The final boss fight was a bit anticlimactic to me, was expecting it to be more epic.

Bro what? This game is the worst i ever played. Im known to have so much patience respectfully not until my brother brought me to this game. After losing so much in the 2 player. I decided to try again on my own free time and i literally almost broke my console so IT IS BAD

The animation is pure genius, the attention paid to each detail is remarkable beyond words, you breathe in all of the genuine, flamboyant vibe of early 20th Century cartoons.

This is really impressive to me. I've not played video games since the old cartridge arcade machines and now you can play inside a vintage cartoon. There must've been so much work gone into this and an eye for authenticity. You might expect the economic frame-loop style of old cartoons to work for computer games too, but I bet they're imprecisely looped to give the handmade effect.

It's not as difficult as many people make it out to be. It's all about pattern recognition and rhythm at the end of the day, akin to shoot em' ups like Contra and Metal Slug. The game is very similar in that regard, especially with the way the game is designed and handled. Having gone through it now in just a week, nearly getting all the achievements, the game is not only easier but more fun once you figure out the patterns and can really do some damage with the weapons. This is how it was back in the 80's and 90's with games, ball busting hard at first but actually fair and challenging fun once you figure out how to avoid damage and put the hurt into the enemy safely and stylishly fast.

@@theprowler18 well, what I probably should have said was that I am not prepared to devote enough time to it so I watch walkthroughs 🤣 for me it wasn't as difficult as other games and you're right, often people make out things like this are impossible when of course they're not. It gets me when people say that the games I put a lot of effort into and am good at are "ridiculous", "unfair", "too hard" when it's really not the case. Cuphead is a cool game though, just not my cup of tea.

I actually made a pretty good synopsis for a musical of this game: In the magical realm of Inkwell Isle, two brothers named Cuphead and Mugman enter the Devil’s Casino against their guardian Elder Kettle’s warning (Double Down). As they go on a hot winning streak at the Craps table, the Devil approaches them with a bet - if they can win the next roll, they will get all the riches in the casino, but if they lose, the Devil keeps their souls. Cuphead rolls the dice and gets Snake Eyes. He and Mugman beg for mercy and the Devil tells them if they can get his debtors’ soul contracts by midnight, he might spare them. The boys run back home to Elder Kettle, who knew this would happen and begins to tell them their truth: they are descendants of an army of cups that managed to banish the Devil to hell with a magic potion (The Calix Animi). Cuphead and Mugman drink the potion and are now able to blast magic bullets from their fingertips. Before they leave, Elder Kettle reminds the boys that when the time comes, they need to do “the right thing”. The boys use their newfound powers to defeat the debtors and get them to give up their soul contracts. However, King Dice, the Devil’s second-in-command, refuses to let them through as there is still one more area they haven’t gotten the soul contracts for (Die House). Cuphead and Mugman succeed in getting those souls, yet still need to go through King Dice as their success made him lose a bet (Die House - Reprise). They manage to defeat King Dice and make it to the Devil’s office (Double Down - Reprise). They are about to hand over the contracts when Cuphead remembers Elder Kettle’s words. He and Mugman burn the soul contracts in the fire of Hell, angering the Devil as he tries to get the boys’ souls. He is, however, defeated and no longer has any power over anyone. The citizens of Inkwell Isle rejoice at this news and name this day Cuphead Day (Finale).

This game needs to be as popular now as it was in 2017 again

the art direction of this game is absolutely amongst the best I've ever seen

I've literally seen SEVERAL instances where I would not make it. Hell, I already be dying on the first Run and Gun.

There’s two things you should know and take them after Cuphead and Mugman 1.Never give up and keep going and trying and 2. If the devil or any other demon offers you a tempting bargain, please do not accept.

how I love this game that not only did they try to make it from old years but they gave them life and also created new characters and even more I love how they play it is very satisfying the truth my respects to the MDHR studio

that run n gun funfair level had very similar music to a yoshis island bgm. That level also reminded me a lot of dynamite heddy. The creators of this game defo played the same games as me when I was a boy. I can recognise a lot of inspirations.

It's funny because this dude bear the entire game faster than I beat the second Run n' Gun (Treetop Trouble)

I wish the devs put simple mode at king dice and if you chose it he would say: Dialogue 1 (all contracts): oh you really thought I was going easy on ya? Huh? Dialogue 2(all contracts) : I’m adding some spice into this New stuff (this isn’t a dialogue) -all unused mini bosses The tutorial but harder That’s all the new stuff Dialogue 1 (not all contracts): Boy, you need all them to come in here Dialogue 2 ( not all contracts) : I’ll let you pass… Also if you choose it it sets you to expert

Even Cuphead was a cartoon of a time in the 1930’s about a cup and 2 mugs come out named “Cuphead and mugman!”. Even it got taken down of other cartoons came up with ideas for replacements and new versions by time.

Him: takes an hour to finish the whole game. Me: takes an hour to beat someone in *simple* xD

I swear…the clown on inkwell 2 made me genuinely have a blood cell pop every time I watched IT.

I want to play this so baaaaad.

Such a beautiful tribute to the classic Merry Melodies cartoons and so perfectly done. Looks super hard though. Some of those levels are so clustered with moving imagery, I'm surprised any player can know where to go without being constantly hit.

im stoked netflix made this into a show. its great. hoping for another season and more games

They have official Cuphead comic books of you're interested to feed on your love of Cuphead. You should check them out. They're really good and entertaining, I personally prefer the comics over the show.

Salut, OK tu es super fort à ce jeu de fou...sérieux. Je l'adore mais je suis obligé de le jouer en facile j'ai plus 20 ans .Les réflexes sont mis à rude épreuve mais l'important est de s'amuser. La bande son le Jazz est génial sur Cuphead...Merci pour le partage
