A Peterbilt 281 from 1955 was the main truck they used. It had a CAT engine although they used recorded sounds from a Cummins non turbo model. So you're correct it does sound a lot like this one!

That transmission of two levers is better than the eaton of 18 gears or for what use is it given or are they the same ???

It's the predesessor of the 13 / 18 speeds with air operated shifts. The second stick is there instead of a button !

What is this trucks top speed. If more than 60, can you try to do a zero sixty. My guess is 41 seconds lol

I do zero to 50 in most videos which might be done in 15 seconds just guessing. But you can shift this with only one stick if you are empty meaning zero to 60 would be rather fast not more than 25 seconds. You would have to time this if you can find a cut of me going from a total stop up to highway speed somewhere

don't forget that you can't shift a twin stock as fast as a classic manual transmission

Just imagine using every sense and coordination in your body to shift it once. Miss the RPM by 100-200 and you have to start finding a different gear and re-rev it. It took a real man to be a truck driver back then. No A/C, AM radio that you couldn’t hear over the engine noise and a cig hanging out of your mouth. No fat truckers back then
