The voice acting is definitely what does the character. Gale is incredibly well written but wow. Tim gave him life. The whole casting is amazing but Astarion and Gale just blew me away.

Gale is a brilliant, nuanced character. Full of power and tenderness all at once. We are incredibly lucky to have had the talent of Tim matched with the talent of Larian to create such a wonderful character. One of my favorites!

He makes a lot of Gale’s hand gestures and it’s distracting/delightful. Imagine that being your first VA role ❤

This could have been hours longer and it would have still felt too short. I love Tim and his patience to talk to us all about BG3, as well as his own passions (Folklands).

The depth, sincerity, and nuance in Tim’s performance make Gale feel complex and real. Skillful work with a great deal of heart. Gale is my favorite character in BG3 and I’ve definitely become a big fan of Tim’s work as well!

Gale is such a relatable character, in every way :') from his interests to his flaws, and his depth! I love how when playing his origin, you can lean into his temptations OR have him rise above them---and both endings are so believable to his character. I adore gale, thank you for bringing him to life :') ♡♡♡

After Gandalf, definitely my favorite wizard. BG3 was something else (and I say that as a big fan of the originals).

Instantly fell in love with Gale and his story. Tim brought so much to this role, and everything about Gale feels so real because of that. Incredible acting, as always from Tim.

I love this interview, Tim articulates the wonders and the huge draw that a well-written video game has on people, it is extraordinary art. MCM London was just incredible indeed, you literally felt the overwhelming love for the game & characters in the hall during the panels 💜 Gale is a lovely character, and I love how the intertwined efforts of actor and writer made him so lovable but human and flawed, amazing. Can't wait to see/hear Tim in more video games!
