Adding milk to soil seems like it goes against everything I thought I knew about composting. I always thought milk and other animal products (meat and fat) would turn rancid and cause the soil to actually be ruined.
@ceannairereibiliunach8133

We put meat in our compost all the time. Daily. This is not true. Our compost grows great crops. I've grown in a 24' long 4' wide raised bed for a few years now that's 100% compost from our scraps with meat in it. People bury dead fish in their gardens and other dead animals.

But milk is pasteurized. It's had all the good stuff boiled /killed off. Un--pasteurized milk is expensive and hard to find in a lot of areas. Whole foods might have it. It would be a drive to go get some. Un--pasteurized goes bad after 3 days. I would only buy it on the day it came in to the store,cause after 3 days it tastes just like what it is , rotting milk . But it's gonna cost you no matter which way you go, un--pasteurized milk ,neem oil or whatever.

Adding milk to soil seems like it goes against everything I thought I knew about composting. I always thought milk and other animal products (meat and fat) would turn rancid and cause the soil to actually be ruined.
@ceannairereibiliunach8133

Sorry but that concept is just plain silly ...when an animal dies in a forest for example the earth it sits on get nourished by the decay and the plants around it get fertilised in the most natural sense .

I have a separate compost pile for animal parts that I just use for landscaping only. In this case however you are spraying a 10:1 solution on to plant leaves which is a lot different than simply pour milk into the soil.

I have dairy cows. Raw milk lasts 10 or more days depending on cleanliness of equipment and how fast you chill it. All comes down to care of the cow and equipment. You must not have had a good source for raw milk in the past. Or it was older than they said it was? Just something to consider.

? how long does the solution last. Likely needs to be put in frig when not using. I'm only look at a couple of tomato plans to start with. So if needed every ten days for only a couple of plants how much should I make up using the "ONE PART MILK TO 10 PARTS WATER" formula. I tbsp of milk and 10 tbsp of water and 1 tsp of turmeric?

Lactic acid is in milk and the reason it works.
Is this an AI generated narrative to the video? The "speaker" states "milk ... creates a film on the surface of the leaves that favors the penetration of pathogenic spores into the leaves" (0:55), which makes no sense.
I'd say, the milk will stink after a while
Whole milk only. However, the milk does attract bacteria
