Cuban Link chains - CAD, 3D Printing & Metal Casting using Bluecast X One

Ойын-сауық

3D Printing and Metal Casting and Cuban link chain in situ... it can be done!
Cuban chains are always popular but not everyone has a jeweller's talent. But anyone can 3D print and that's the place to start!
I designed a Miami-ish Cuban Link using ZBrush and printed it using Bluecast X One resin. I then cast it in situ... but would the links all melt together? Well, I guess that's down to how well I designed it 😁

    Wow, I know how to make these by hand (I am not good at it, just wanted to try) but never thought to try to forge one. I love how you incorporated the normal "wax sprue" into the design model. I envy people like you who can model what is in your head, I have to see/touch something in order to model it.

    Thanks for sharing your experiences in casting a chain. If you are going to wear it on your wrist, you probably need to cast it as a open chain, and then get a clasp and jump rings from Rio Grande to finish it. They probably have items that are the same metal as your cast. I enjoy all of your reviews and demonstrations.

    Amazing absolutely love your channel! I just got my mono 2 this morning so it's set up time now I was just wondering about the 3.0.2 software slicer with it I bought the mono 4k about 3 weeks ago but needed a second and love my 4k so with that mono 2 being on promotion price both mono 2 and wash amd cure for £199 I grabbed one! As of today it's that just for the printer or £338 for both so saved £100 it's a spare wash and cure anyway! OK what I was wondering was the 4K slicer I installed can I keep that going as well as the new mono 2 version I'm away to install or will I need to use the same one and change the settings everytime? It might not be an issue as use lychee now for the mono 4k all the time I'm getting good test prints in the validation test matrix but the right sided slider up the sode I'm still getting the step lines! Have you Any tips on how to get them gone or near gone?

  • @emilianofisanotti9639
    @emilianofisanotti9639 Жыл бұрын

    @Vogman, if you want to cure parts that are hard for light to reach through air (common curing way), then use a water container to submerge the part in water and then light up the container using a UV light reflector to cure the part there. Water is a really good medium for light to travel through:) I'm sure I'm late to the party with this comment, but if I'm not, I really hope it works for you:) Top videos as usual!!!:)

    I started watching to learn about how resin printers can be used in the casting world so all the videos whether they are printer reviews with casting elements in them or specifically about casting with the use of a certain printer are useful to me. I don’t care what the casting may be, it’s the process I’m interested in watching. So I think it’s all valid, don’t like it? Don’t watch.
