Because he was the first from Europe to find it. Discovery doesn't mean to be the very first person to find something. It means to find something unexpectedly, which he did. What bothers me is when explorers discover an inhabited island and then rename it and claim it as theirs.

Fun fact: Fidel Castro is celebrated as an icon of freedom and liberation in Africa. While the US government was supporting the apartheid regime in South Africa that had imprisoned Nelson Mandela...Fidel Castro had sent economic and military support to the revolution which was instrumental in turning the tide. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus

The thing is is that Cuba was already a country before it became a country. When Cespedes, freed his slaves and initiated the cause of his revolution. He created something known as “la republica en armas” or the republic in arms. Which basically had its presidents and leaders and even had its own constitution; which many Cubans followed and joined so basically, Tomas Palma was never really Cuba “first” president.

This info is shit anyway. Batista was a literal fascist and a nazi sympathizer. They also make Cuba seem as if it’s an impoverished malnourished and uneducated wasteland when cuba has an export on medical professionals, has some of the best medical education globally, is number one in Latin America interns of education, has some of the best and totally free healthcare, and has almost completely eradicated illiteracy. But this video only talks about the negatives.

  • @jean-claudelol563

@@gggfightklub8449 Batista was a fascist but he was right winged. There is no comparison whatsoever to the left wing NAZI's (German Socialist Worker's Party.) Batista did not seek to exterminate any group of people. He just didn't want leftists communists taking over the Cuban government. Cuba is an impoverished, malnourished, uneducated (unless indoctrination counts as an education these days), wasteland. I was born there, I have been back since leaving. It's even worse now than what it was then. As impossible as that was to believe until I saw it for myself. Cuba produces nothing. The doctors it trains don't have the tools they need, often you can't fill any of your prescriptions at state run pharmacies you have to buy them off people on the streets on the black market. And hope you are getting what they say. Everything failing is blamed on the embargo. I have to things to say to that. First, almost everything we buy in the US comes from China. It's hard to find products actually made in the US or Europe. China could care less about the embargo. Why isn't Cuba purchasing their supplies from China like everyone else? Huh..... Second, if Cuba's future and economy depended on capitalism from the US, then it was doomed from the start. What was the point of a communist revolution that whines about it's failures by blaming it on not having access to capitalist trappings. They should be happy to be free of our capitalist trappings. Huh.... Remember Castro failed in his first attempt to overthrow the Cuban government in 1953, he was tried and sentenced. If Batista had been a Nazi like minded individual, or anything like the murderous Castro brothers, Castro would have never left prison alive to try to overthrow the government again. He would have never seen the light of day again. It's a shame that he did live. It's sad how easily people show their ignorance and lack of knowledge and understanding of history and events. Cuba's free healthcare and educational system pre-dates the communist revolution by a lot. It was not communism that brought free education and free healthcare to the Cuban people. But it was communism that has destroyed it where what we have left is an educational system of leftist indoctrination camps and a healthcare system where most of our facilities for the average person are dilapidated and unsanitary. Where modern medical equipment often is unavailable or broken, where filling a simple antibiotic prescription at a pharmacy is a near impossibility and you have a better chance of buying it at much higher prices on the black market or going without it and die. Where did you indoctrinate your rosy fictional fantasy of Cuba that you described? I was born there, I lived it, I have been back since and seen it actually worsen. Your rosy fantasy is a complete fabrication and a lie. It is Cuban communist propaganda. The very few comforts, luxuries and perks that exist are for the people high up in the government, for foreign dignitaries, for tourists with USD, EUROS, CADS to spend, and for Cuban exiles returning to visit their families with USD, EUROS, CADS in their pockets who can enjoy comforts that no average Cuban living on the island can afford.

A father of a family worked in a factory with his wife and 2 grown children. This couple also had two daughters, an 8-year-old and a 15-year-old young daughter, very beautiful. Between the marriage and the two older children, although they did not live comfortably, they could cover their expenses every month ... One day the owner of the factory upon learning of the existence of that beautiful daughter proposed to the parents that if they offered their young daughter as a wife, they would all lack nothing, to which the couple refused. The angry factory owner fired both the couple and their two older children from his factory. Weeks later, after unsuccessfully looking for work, this family discovered that the millionaire owner of the factory had bribed, threatened or intimidated anyone who provided work or help to this family... Although some dared to help with food and a little money, little by little many gave in to the intimidation of the depraved businessman, and this family began to lack food and resources to live. A family secretly offered him 3 loaves at dusk so that they could eat something, which the father had to ration in equal parts so that everyone could eat something that even if it did not fill them, would keep them alive. As time went by, the need in that home was desperate, and given the inability of this couple and their older children to support their family, this began to affect the relationship within the home... their parents, although they loved their young daughters, they could not keep them healthy, as they couldn’t provide for them any more. Every time they went out looking for work, everyone closed their doors on them, people were too afraid on helping out... Soon as the girls were starving, the factory manager began a whole campaign making the younger daughters believe that their parents were not capable of supporting or providing any more for the family. He said; “These parents are unable to provide even the basics for their child to live humanely”... Over time with the offers and promises of a good life, this depraved businessman sweetened the ears and eyes of these two young girls who went to live far away from their parents, in the businessman's house... For this factory owner, it was very easy to stifle all the possibilities that this old couple, together with their two oldest children had to support their own family, and then use the result of their macabre work, to blame them for their inability to guide and provide for their minor daughters to have a dignified life... The daughters who did not have the maturity and understanding necessary to realize the manipulation of which they were victims of, ended up changing the love of their family and their place of origin for the offer of a better life at the hands of this depraved businessman... Why do news channels muted their voices about this truth, and american people keep silent, when so many countries are asking for justice... news.un.org/en/story/2021/06/1094612

A lot of people just like to label all “black” people as African when that’s not the case. Also do you know where the people who were slaves were prior, they were in Europe and prior to that do you know. If you did it would make more sense to you. Also if you have two people groups who know nothing about a crop or how to farm that crop because it’s not known to either the slave or the kidnappers as it wasn’t their crop either how do you know the agronomy of how to get that crop to thrive. How do you know the soil or acidity or any other thing such as how much water etc. You wouldn’t take two people groups from foreign places to plant a crop that both are unfamiliar with. It’s common sense, but sometimes common sense isn’t always common.

We need to talk about the death and destruction that happened during these wars not just who owns what.

De nuevo escribo lo mismo que ya escribi una vez y KZread desaparecio, no siendo esta la primera vez.. So this time around I am documenting my comment by taking a picture of it.

Cubans come to the use and are given a socialist system off the bat, then they abuse it and send dollar store gifts to the fellow country men they left behind like if it had s going to help them fight communism

This video spreads a bunch of misinformation. Cuban was never really like the soviets. Read about the cuba democracy and power distribution system. Also read about what the people say about cuba after the revolution

It *was back when the French were enslaving hundreds of thousands of Haitians and after the Spanish killed off the tainos. It was only a pearl for France, not for anybody living there except a very small minority rich white population
