I have looked at several models now. I found this exact model at a local tractor supply with a bad (weld) on an idler pulley on the deck. Took it home and made the repair in about 30 minutes. The manager gave me 1k discount, so I was ecstatic, he definitely helped make my decision! I have several pieces of real-estate, and was paying people to cut a couple of them, however mowing today i cut 2 pieces of property in 2 hrs! This machine is phenomenal! In business time is money! This machine is going to save me a fortune! I'm looking forward to a long service life from this machine, good job cub cadet!

Just bought the 50 inch deck in this model today and it is definitely top notch, went straight home and started mowing, I did have to stop a few times to make comfort adjustments, such and the arms height and deck pedal, which is to be expected for first use so no big deal, and once you get your comfort adjusted to your liking it is spectacular. This is the first time I was actually disappointed to have stop mowing after cutting everything! Lol! Great job Cub Cadet!

Guys, the frame and axel is offset so the deck can reach over garden edges/etc. on the left side without the tires running over it. This is why the debris discharge is always on the opposite side that does not hang past the wb.

I’m here to debunk this. It drove me nuts on my zero turn. I know that this is a 2 year old comment. But the left side caster is actually out further to allow it to work with the deck and cutting ability better. If you lift up the mower or look under the deck, you will notice that the casters are in-line with the lift/edge of the blade, putting it in a more optimal area for the blades to be lifted back up from the caster had just ran it over.

The ikon by far had better options for me and a better built deck. Does have Kawasaki engine too also had a more comfortable ride with arm rests on the seat and not to mention it was on sale for $3499 ($1000 off sticker price).

El Mero Mero the zt2 has the same thing. This is the base model. You lost speed and fuel capacity. Options? You can put a snow plow blade on these. Idk how those armrest attached to the handles are superior. That seems terribly inefficient. This is built like a brick house. Ariens, well frame flex is a big deal over time. You got a cheaper mower for sure lol. Get what you pay for.

I wish I could use a zero turn mower, prob is I use my Cub Cadet XT3 garden tractor all year round. I mow 3 acres in the summer and blow snow in my driveway in the winter so it gets lots of use. I do like my XT3 though. Another tip, don't purchase one through a big box store. Purchase your mower through a dealer that has a in house service dept. IT will save you a bunch if it needs repairs under warranty. Cheers.

I'm not into taking it back to the dealer for much of anything. I've had a Cub Cadet RZT 50 for 14 seasons now. I beat the tar out of it, so yeah, I have to work on it and rebuild the weak points, but most people don't work them as hard as I do. I would buy one again, but expect to have to work on it at some point after I've had at it. Like I said, 14 seasons and I think I can get another 14 out of it!

Hi, I just bought my Cub cadet Zt1 54in at local Tractor Supply Company (TSC) in Mckiney Texas last week 8/15/2020 for $ 3355.74 and I noticed it's acting very strange after 2nd use yesterday. It lost cutting power at high speed setting (the rabbit symbol). You can hear the engine sound wanted to die out and the cutted-grasses did not shoot out the right EXIT side strong as it suppose to. At first, I thought I ran out of gas ( b/c there is no gas gauge indicator equipped on this model). I stopped the mower, let it rest while I checked gas level which (which is still full with fresh gas), I then checked oil level and it was was full!!! I restarted the mower and resume mowing but after few minutes, it acted up again when I heard the engine was not humming like it is suppose to. I immediately stopped the mower and set mowing speed to TURTLE sign for SLOW, then the mower perform okay again at this power speed. Please note, I am very quality conscious with every equipment I've been ever owned and this Cub cadet ZT1 54in is one of my biggest quality concern after 2 simple runs (less than 45 minutes per run). Do you think, I can return this machine for the TORO ( much for expensive but more reliable)? 2) 2nd problem I had yesterday was the LEFT Tire got flat! My land has no metal debris and/or sharp objects to punch the the tire. For this problem, I really don't have a clue of the root cause. Please suggest me and I really appreciate your time and support,

That's the one we got and we love it. Mowing is fun again and FAST. 👍😎👌 BTW I have mowed 3' tall weeds with no problems at all, nasty roses and briars to boot. Up a steep hill at that. 2 passes to perfection. You're right. Cars going by slow way down to check it out. I call it my Indy mower.

I just got mine today, put it together and made my yard bigger, (only so far I was willing to go with a push mower). I was trying to be super careful with up-hills, (first rider I ever had). If it starts flipping, (and it weighs 570 lbs), all you can do is jam it in reverse and hope for the best. But if you panic a bit, like I did, you jam the bars forward and fly up the hill. I am glad for 2 things there. 1) glad it did not flip, and 2) glade I can climb my steepest section. :) Just wanting to lean how to drive this new machine, (for me), makes mowing fun. Yea, I think it looks like a dirt oval, open wheel, sprint car more than a lawn mower.

it actually looks and sounds like junk from what your saying. lmao you thank plastic bumpers under the seat vs steel springs is an improvement. Also everytime you hit the frame with your key it sounds like you hit a beer can. cant imagine that steel will last. You should have got a Badboy.

@@nonya2116 I just got mine today. The engine is pretty quiet, but the blades are pretty loud. The deck shakes when you turn on the toggle electronic PTO switch, but mine runs smooth after that. I have been in manufacturing all my adult life with almost as much formal education as job experience, (including a quality control engineering degree among 3). This frame is built well. 2" tubing, excellent welds, (the only undercut I saw was on the front little deck wheel brackets), one rigid frame. The front wheels, well what is to say about 11" castors. The rear drive system? I don't know about that. What makes others better? It weighs 570 lbs, and yes, it is lighter than the others I have compared it to, but why would you want another 200 lbs? I bought it for the Kawasaki engine, and because it looks like a sprint car. :) The rest of the parts will hold up just fine, even for more than one acre. PS, Who ever said this machine is only good on flat ground, less than one acre, and not very many obstacles, (it is a zero turn machine, for goodness sake), is full of crap.

I have one much to like about it, but honestly the deck does not cut even at all, so much of the time saved is used going over all the spots it misses. Also picks up sticks that throw the drive belt off. I have a tree filled valley so that may not be a problem. Handles nice, looks great, comfortable seat, deck sucks....
