CT9 Global-Intercom Walkie Talkie 5G putting it in to alk Group Mode.
Any where there is cellular service these 5G Walkie Talkies work.
You have to buy a DATA only SIM card that Does Not have talk and text. The brand “Smart Sim” has Data only Sim Cards.
They pick up cell towers far better than most cell phones due to them having external antennas. Cellphones usually have cases added to them and their antennas are buried inside of the phone.
With these CT9’s you can actually talk to your friend in another country as I have.
From the San Francisco I have talked to people in Mexico.
You can create private talk groups. You put a check mark next to each radiio you want in your group by using your screen and the navigation buttons.
I bought 4 of these. The first cost $53.00 and the last one cost $73.00 a month later.
The operating manual is very poor. U had to buy more than one to figure out talking in groups.
I am very happy with these now.
April 29-2024 I talked to Alex in Moscow 5,843 mi from the San Francisco area. The audio was very clear and loud and he was very excited that they work so well. I was not able to find out if he was using a global Sim card.
