Please have a look at 1:16 [min:sec]. When there is material with an attenuation coefficient larger than 1, then the attenuation would be more than 100%. The transmission is actually exp(-µd). With µ=0.181/cm the attenuation would be ~16.5%.

Good luck with your registry! In my opinion this is one of the trickiest concepts to grasp. It's something you will get a good grasp on as you work more with both CT and general xray.
