    This video brings back memories as my buddies and I lived in those on-campus apartments from 1990-1993 until we had to move out after the '94 earthquake. They were built in 1989 so they were still new when we moved in. We mostly lived in Woodruff Hall. They look pretty much the same but it looks like they upgraded a few things. The keyed entry to the front door and bedroom is nice. We had regular keys for the front and regular lockable knobs for the bedrooms. The furniture in the living room looks practically unchanged! Very '80's looking. The kitchen cabinets look the same but the countertops look like they changed them to some faux granite. We had something much uglier. The floors look like they've upgraded to hardwood-looking laminate. We had ugly linoleum. Same for the bathroom. I'm so glad we were able to stay there because some of the off-campus housing was real bad. I think my whole experience would have been different. I met my 2 college roommates there. I hope you're having a good experience at CSUN. It looks like a much better campus since they have added new buildings. -Patrick

    You will get an email, maybe in a few weeks to let you know you can pick your building and room. Yes, you will most probably get a dorm that looks like this. Some layouts may be opposite of each other but still the same concept. Certain buildings may be newer or older so furniture may be different. But overall, I think you'll be alright :)

    +Zackk Whitfield I am unsure but I believe that if you want to add furniture you can (I've added a clothing rack), but if you want to swap, then my guess is that it's your responsibility to store it and place it back when you leave. I could be totally wrong, but that's what I assume. Best to stick with what they got, not too bad furniture, gotta say.

  • @iambelenn

    LLCs are learning communities, so the only difference is that they will house students with a certain major. I lived in the Music LLC, so music majors were on the first floor and other majors were in the others. So if you find a LLC that fits your major, I say go for it as you'll meet others with the same/similar major and do activities together. No difference in the actual apt though.

  • @iambelenn

    @iambelenn

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Jenna Bagala oh then you should be okay, I am assuming that the BOG fee waiver pays for you classes? You should be able to get financial aid at csun if you get it at community college. But of course, you should check in with the Financial Aid department at csun, just so you get all the info you need as everyone's financial aid awards could be different. As for the $20,000, I think that is just an estimate including maybe housing, textbooks, food, transportation and such. I know thats not what I pay, then again, I find the cheap way out of things like textbooks and food.

    to add onto that, there is a public library across the street from campus. Csun does not offer the BOG waiver, but they do offer the State University Grant. one big tip financially. Make sure you enroll in 6 units or 12 units. Don't enroll anywhere in between. If you are enrolled in more than 6 units, csun will consider you as a full time student, but the fasfa will not. Meaning you'll have to pay out of pocket. If you are enrolled in 12 units, both csun and fasfa standards state that is full time. Same with 6 units, both will state that is half time.
