Hi Val! That's odd, is there another field/question that you maybe have not completed? The EOP page is weird in that it won't let you move on unless everything is 100% completed.

under high school coursework do we add every class we’ve taken during high school or only the ones that are needed for A-G? like if we did more A-G classes than needed (ie: taken 6 history but the requirement is 2) do we have to report all of those classes or only the minimum required?

Hi Johana, Are you applying as a transfer student? You should only be using the "RP" course if your transcript specifically identifies the course as repeated and excludes course from institution GPA. If it does not then you can input a W instead. You can find more information here: www2.calstate.edu/apply/transfer/documents/cal-state-apply-transfer-credit-entry-guide.pdf on page 13-14

If the students are currently taking aAP classes should they put “planning on taking exam” (under Standardized Tests)?

Hello! Yes if they plan to take the exam in the future they can select "No" when asked, "Have you already taken this exam?" Hi! That's a great question. For 7th and 8th grade courses, you will add it to your 9th grade course list and then put the year you were in 9th grade. For example, if you started high school in 2017, put your 7th/8th grade courses in "9th grade" and "2017.'" Hope this helps!

Hi Gerson. Great question! It depends if you are applying as a lower division transfer or an upper-division transfer. You can find more information here: www2.calstate.edu/apply/transfer/Documents/transfer-application-guide-21-22.pdf (specifically pages 15-16). In general, lower-division transfer (LDT) applicants have to input all high schools attended and complete the High School Coursework and A-G Matching tiles in the Academic History quadrant.

Sorry but how exactly do you add a class you took in middle school? I need to add a foreign language class I took in middle school and I'm not entirely sure how to do it or what to put it under.

Hi Gelo, that's a great question! For your 7th-8th grade courses, you'll want to add them to your freshman year academic year and then the high school you attended in 9th grade. For example, if you went to "Troy High School" in 9th grade, go ahead and put your foreign language course down for Troy High School and put it in 9th grade. Here is the exact wording from the CSU website: "If you took 7th and 8th grade courses taken to fulfill A-G requirements, select the appropriate grade level (e.g. 7th grade, 8th grade). Then, enter your first high school attended in 9th grade and your 9th grade academic year." Hi Fredo! Great question. The CSU does not require personal statements or letters of recommendation for the general application. However, if you choose to apply to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), you will have to provide short answers to some of their questions and they also require two letters of recommendation. Additionally, some specific programs like nursing will ask students to submit an additional supplemental application. Sometimes they require personal statements or letters of recommendation but it really depends on the campus/program.

Hello! For credits it basically just means how many units it was. You should be able to find that information on the transcript :)

@@collegesupportnetwork7207 there are two options for selecting credits though, the option to enter a number like 3 or 5 but what about the drop down menu under credits with the numbers listed 00, 25, 33, 50, 67, and 75?

Hi Swati, this just means the academic status you had when you took the course. So if you were a freshmen college student, you would put freshmen. If you were a sophomore, you would put sophomore - and then so on. Since you are a high school student (I am assuming here..) you will simply put freshmen. This note is more for students that are already earning their bachelor's degree and are applying for a transfer or a second bachelor's. Hi Swati! Some schools (both high schools and colleges) break their summers into two sessions. Typically session 1 will run from June - late July and then session 2 will run from late July - August. It depends on each individual campus but that's what the difference is!

Hi Faith! That's a great question. The CSU application typically does not have an activities/awards section like the UC Application. In general, the CSU application will focus on your test scores and GPA to determine your eligibility for admission. With that being said, this year they have added questions in the "Supporting Information" quadrant. You can find the questions in the "Educational Programs & Work Experience" tab at the bottom! Hi Alek! You can't actually add specific extracurricular activities anywhere in the application. The only place that will allow you to provide *some* information is under the supporting information section. On that page, there is a sub-section called "Educational Programs & Work Experience." You can input extracurricular activity information there.

Hello my major is Psychology but when selecting "ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM." I am selecting a program "Sociology Social Service and Community Research". Then, this pops up: The program you have selected is not considered similar to your ADT program. If you select this program, your entrance will be evaluated outside of the ADT program criteria. @@mrmrsmagana406 Hello, - this video is mostly for freshmen students so I am not too familiar with that issue. My guess is you inputted that you are completing/have completed a specific Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT) and the programming you are applying to is very different from your ADT. This is typically fine but please be aware that your application will not be viewed using the same criteria for the ADT program that you put down.

@@Cameron26 HI Cameron, are you applying as a freshmen or transfer student? If you are applying as a freshmen student, you should see an option that says "I Am Not Adding Any College Transcripts." If you click on that it will allow you to skip.

Do the total years have to equal to 15? I just entered my high-school courses and it came out to 23 total years,

Hello! It doesn't always have to be exactly 15 since some students go above and beyond when it comes to coursework. 23 does sound like a lot though so I would go back and check your coursework to see if you inputted things correctly. For example, some students make the mistake of setting the academic calendar to "full-year" when it should be semester, thus adding too many total years of coursework. This is just one example so make sure to just take a look at it to make sure! The goal should be to put everything down exactly as it shows up on your transcripts.

@@imconfused5705 Hello! If you've double-checked everything then I think you should be fine (especially given the fact that you have taken many extra math/science courses). Having extra years of coursework does not damage your chances of acceptance at all. In reality, I think it helps you stand out as an applicant because it shows you went above and beyond the minimum requirements.

@@collegesupportnetwork7207 Mine came out to 26 years. I set the academic calendar to full year because my schedule is the same 7 classes for the whole year. I also take dual enrollment classes but I put those for each semester.
