CSF RADIATOR AND INTERCOOLER INSTALL DIY | BMW 135i E82 N54

Eric's next upgrade on his E82 BMW 135i was the CSF Radiator and the CSF Intercooler. We put them both in at the same time along with the coolant flush, of course. It took an entire day and we weren't all that pleased with the fit (especially the Intercooler that was marketed as plug-and-play).

Thanks! I'm doing this soon and this helps. My fan came out easier from the bottom. I might drop the radiator out the bottom too if I can.

To remove the upper radiator hose, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the hose off. Use the plastic radiator support as a fulcrum.

Great diy. I’ve got a 335i I’m debating making a race car and I’m researching how to address cooling issues these cars have when raced. Watched several of these vids and yours was the best and most helpful. Did this improve temps? Cheers Ben

Great video! I've used a Reservoir tank - reservoir to bleed the thermostat before, it looks like a brake line bleeder and saves lots of spilled coolant! :

I would upgrade the mickey mouse coolant flange that connects to the motor. Very common failure point on these N54 powered cars. Thanks for the video!

The suggestion to cut the clip on the charge pipe would get rid of the dampener and a mounting point for the fan shroud.

@@HelpMeDIY Mostly just in case others come across it and aren't aware that what it does is basically hold the charge pipe to the fan shroud and mostly dampen vibration noise as well as some extra mounting.

+Austin Bowman pretty sure the answer is no, that it comes on based on temp, but it’s not my car so I can’t go outside and confirm.
