I’ve had this Bible a couple of weeks now it’s it’s got me into a daily rhythm of reading the word of God it’s changed my life already it’s very easy to read and for my dyslexia it’s very helpful to have something I can see easier. with this size and font I can read it with minimal issues I love this Bible!

The design of this bible is really speaking to me. Ive been looking for something just like this that I can toss in the bag or read with my son and not worry too much about it getting damaged (like my Schuyler). Love the daily insight too! Thanks so much Tim. Im definitely picking one up soon!

Thanks so much for this review! I've found the CSB to be a great easy-to-read translation in the best way. I love that they put together this version with so much "help." Definitely one of my top recommendations for old and new Christians alike moving forward.

I've had Holman Bibles through the decades but never a specific themed (men) one like this. Ordered one today. Thanks for the review. Really enjoyed your wife's sharing of the ordination gift you received from your church. She did a great job. Congratulations on achieving this milestone.

My favorite men's study Bible was the TNIV Strive Bible for Men. But this CSB Men's Bible looks way more substantial--and it's in the CSB!!! Yay!!! I'm glad you showed us this one. Must have! Great to see the CSB in so many great options--something they no doubt learned from Crossway.

No that I know of... but Becca is reviewing a new NLT Women's Bible soon!

I'm kind of the fence about this bible, and it's mainly due to the language used. Too casual for my taste. On the one hand, I love the idea of this bible, the way it is structured and designed, from beginning to end, with advice, tidbits, and information for men looking for answers. But the casual languages used is kind of turning me off. I mean, one heading was simply called "Duh", another "Not-so-nice-kitty", and I saw Uber being mentioned. I would of preferred if the language used was more straightforward or serious but mentioning a corporate company is kind of a turn off for me. But I'm still considering getting this bible, I just need to be convinced that the casualness isn't that bad. But in any case, great video. I learned a lot about this bible already and it has gotten me intrigued.

I’m thinking about getting this bible..but was wondering how much do you read in a given day? Do you stop when you reach the next day’s insight..for example it seems it would brake to flow of a chapter if a next day insight was stuck in the middle of it…..thanks so much ,I really enjoy your videos..also I am a single man quite new to reading the Bible

I bought this bible and I really like it. My one complaint is that the pages are stuck together. I assume it's because of the rose gold coloring on the edges of the pages? I got it from barnes and noble and I don't think they would take it back, so I don't know if I should try to return or exchange it.

Can you do a deeper video on using this Bible daily. Is their a reading plan that uses all the different resources each day.

Amazon has the previous edition of the Bible for around $25. Is there any difference between that one which came out in 2018 and the one you just reviewed the size. The text difference are there different commentaries in articles

Does anyone make a CSB, verse-by-verse, single-column yet? I've searched and found nothing so far. Recent convert to the CSB and prefer this format for study.

What is your favorite New Testament? I wish publishers made more large print New Testament Psalms & Proverbs.

Holman needs to put out a book just with the commentary. I have plenty of CSB bibles, including the Men of character study Bible 😊

More of a devotional Bible, in my opinion.

Thanks for another great review. I tend to dislike the trend to men’s and women’s bibles. The women’s bibles usually have less serious scholarship and buy into the “pink and pretty” aesthetic with not-so-thinly veiled misogyny. Your reviews are excellent. 👍🏻

Yeah, I agree that in some cases it is misogynistic and condescending. I really dislike the toxic genderrole control that is seeping through it. I understand that the patriarchy that resides within the Bible (especially the Old Testament) can make some people think there should be (study) Bibles for women and Bibles for men, but to me that is just an extremely toxic approach of a Bible that should be the same for everyone. This is totally different from having different translations. Seriously, this makes me think of the Bibles made for slaves, that left out a few parts of the Bible that could make the slaves rebel, should they come to know of it, while what stayed ostensibly gave the slaveowners the "divine right" to rule over them... It seems like a huge difference, but the idea behind it is the same. Seperate Bibles. Even now that I am no longer a christian, but am still interested in the Bibles, seeing this labeling annoys me greatly. I feel like I have more respect for the book and people than those who want to label them with genders/s3x. Not all men think in the same way, not all women think in the same way (not all intersex people think the same way either). Let it be up to us to decide what we like instead of being told what to like.

I'm not a fan of gender specific Bibles, but as always I appreciate the review. 👍

hey Tim, i have a riddle for you, it's an NFL riddle: a 49ers' fan says " never trust a Rams' fan " and a Rams' fan says " never trust a 49ers' fan " then, a third person comes along and says they're a fan of both the Rams and 49ers. so, can this person be trusted or not?

I have one criticism about this Bible and others that share the same thing. The idea that one Bible is for men and others for women, just does not belong in the world of Bibles. How on earth can a Bible be anything else but genderneutral, given that women and men are equal as human beings. Even when a Bible has more "flowery" details, it still should not have "women/woman" labels on it!! Suppose a guy likes flowers! Now he would like a Bible that also has "woman" labeled on it.... Are we that focussed on "genderroles" and what they should be like? Really?! That is just another step into the direction of religious control imo and it really bothers me when I see a gender/s3x printed on a Bible. It is soo wrong on so many levels. I respect how you keep being so positive when reviewing a Bible like this without pointing that particular thing out.

I think it’s okay to have Bibles with material geared toward men or women… the content of the Bible does not change, but the devotional material is focused. I’m okay with that.

I mean, I aknowledge that it is a personal thing, but there are people who are litterally inters3x through birth and such an approach does not seem to invite them. They are real, they exist. Could you imagin "Bibles for inters3x" ? How would that even look like...

Be very careful with these new translations, mostly are from the corrupt Alexandrian text. There are many omissions and errors within the Alexandrian manuscripts. Check “II Samuel 21:19,” read it carefully and see who killed Goliath?

Mike Ward's channel on KZread and millions of Christians and biblical scholars would disagree. If you prefer the Textus Receptus, God bless! But don't discredit others who believe in the same Jesus who read from Bibles that use the Critical Text. If you really look at all the examples of "omitted" scripture, they don't doctrinaly change anything. The same argument you used could also be used in favor of the CR saying that those verses were added to the original text. All these two arguments do is divide the church.
