That's cos we had terraces, so all the 'singers' or lads would stand together, which created the atmosphere. Now everyones sat down sporadically and go to most grounds, and half the crowd's looking at their phones or taking selfies. Say what you like about Palace, but at least they sing and create an atmosphere. Loudest home crowd in the league, by a distance and that's pretty much non-stop 90 mins., not just singing YNWA 3 times in a game, or cheering after a goal...

I'm a baggies fan but I must say palace have some class fans never ever shut up and even when they lose they still sing there heads off fair play

This is fantastic support! Credit from a Middlesbrough fan because we have similar chants! To be honest this is a lot better than most of the support you get in the premier league!

Brilliant fans, I'm a hearts Dec fan from Scotland but I come down to a few games a season at selhurst and 1or2 away games if I can get a ticket! Fans club everything g are great keep up the good work!

palace claim to be against modern football but are one of the few clubs with cheerleaders... they wave ribbons and cartoon banners around copying other countries.. not to meantion a fucking drummer and they might even have a megaphone bloke... awful orchestrated, pantomine atmosphere... obsessed with recording videos and seeing how many yoy tube hits they get....cant wait for them to get relegated and go back to 12k attendances.. It's hard to generate an atmosphere at the Emirates, it's a bit like trying to light a fart in the bath, the away end is kind of split in two, and you have the VIP 'Ring of indifference' all the way around like at Wembley. Drums help conduct the fans. In Brazil fans are amazing at coordinating their chants, and do this with the use of percussion. Would you refer to that as tin-pot? It's hard for the passionate Arsenal fans due to all the day trippers that stand amongst them, was a much much better atmosphere when at Highbury, but that's modern football for you. Strategic ticketing, and safe standing will help, but as soon as your ground needs to cater for a high percentage of hospitality you're in trouble.

Indeed. I genuinely feel sorry for proper Arsenal fans. You must get so many day trippers and corporates, there's no way to generate real atmosphere. The Emirates is all fur coat and no knickers. Too cosy and plush. Highbury was a tight ground, opposite of what you have now. Modern football innit.

Wish more Premier league clubs were like this... I'm a Saints fan and we can make a noise if we want too but this is amazing.. The only club in England that can really compare to what they have in the rest of europe.

Palace were loudest after Dortmund. Can not understand why some people on here slate people for having a good time, chill out, it's life, it's football, you are ok to enjoy yourself in life, stop being so straight laced, typical society in the uk, conform to the boring side. I think our home support is fucking awful sometimes, when its on song its probably the loudest out there, but it shocking to see people moan about other people singing and asking them to sit down...FFS support your team a bit more at home people! THE AWAY FANS for us are AMAZING!!!! They do our club proud, supporting the team and being vocal, the players want the support as loud as can be, it is a real spur on for them.

Don't understand why people say it's tinpot. What is tinpot however is a 60,000 stadium that is quiet for 85 out of the 90 mins, most Prem teams have shocking home support
