CRYSTAL HEFNER: WHAT LIFE WAS REALLY LIKE INSIDE THE PLAYBOY MANSION
Ойын-сауық
From the cult-like world of Playboy, financial abuse at the hands of her husband and building her life up after leaving the “bunny” empire at 31, Crystal Hefner is a NYT best selling Author, American model and the third wife of Hugh Hefner.
Crystal reveals how she entered the Playboy mansion as a young, introverted women; the collateral damage of a highly competitive and misogynistic environment. Running away from a cover-shoot 5 days before her wedding, and how she took back her power over the last decade.
This is an empowering conversation about choosing yourself after years of objectification and misogyny.

I definitely wanted to see both perspectives. The interview with Marston was great. I'm not disliking her as much as I thought I would. I think she believes her own narrative. She probably shouldn't have been in that environment if she wasn't into a sugar daddy dynamic naturally. I think Holly and Bridgette view things more positively and viewed being at the mansion as a family.

Absolutely agree. It is a MUST watch. It is important to get everyone's perspective. Two things are can true. That said, I really respect Hue's son, Marston. His opinion on this situation is very very illuminating.
Holly said she had Stockholm syndrome too. It’s like she copied Hollys book.
This woman is so shady. Whispering answers, making little sense. Out for money obviously.
I'm wondering what hefner's children from his first wife think of this woman dragging their mom in several interviews with cheating accusations 1:50 when in this woman's own book she clearly admits to going off to have an affair with a younger man near the end of her husband's life while he was sick and frail and him begging her not to leave but she left to cheat anyway🥴
“I’m an introvert “.. as I run to the tabloids to talk shit about Holly, Bridget and his son Marston.

Yeah, but jeez! This man has been around for a long time and didn’t we all know more than we wanted to about who he was and how he lived? For her to make that choice to be with him… I don’t have very much sympathy 🤷🏼♀️

@@coconutty4808 not everyone has the self-esteem in place to make the courageous decision to leave. The human brain is designed to remain in familiar situations as its easier to predict the future, keeping you "safe". But sadly this includes situations that are unhealthy. The brain deems the unhealthy situation "safer" than the unknown future situation if you decide to change. The longer the situation, the harder it is to break the neural circuit. Its why a lot of people (mainly women) stay in abusive relationships. Also, looking from an outsiders perspective makes it much easier to see the difference, we have no emotions in place tied to the situation. It's okay to have your opinions of course, but try lead with curiosity rather than judgement
I don't like this woman. She sent Holly, Bridget, and marsten a cease and desist just for talking about her book and marsten even said everything he says is his opinion and none of it was bad. Why did she need a several million dollar house from him when he couldn't afford it? Of u weren't in love, why did u keep his name for fame?
Great chat😉
I love it you always ask the questions we want to know! Where’s your mate is she behind the rope? 😂😂😂
What a powerful interview
I found this interview really interesting and my preconceived idea of a “playboy bunny” was challenged. I think I’ll buy the book to learn more about her story. I’ve followed Jaime since his Made In Chelsea days and I’m so pleased to see his success - these are great interviews and you have such a talent for talking to people - getting some great insights from your guests whilst being positive and understanding, and not pushing an agenda. 👏🏻

I love watching Crystal process all of this, I think it speaks to a lot of people’s journeys.
I never heard of her, but to me she has that genuine likability.

She's angry because he was misogynistic
Holly, Kendra, Bridgett, Crystal, Kristina, and Karissa were all vulnerable to 'Hef's' narcissism, manipulation, and the culture of his cultlike group because of their backgrounds (e.g. little money, prior abuse; learning disability and drug addiction in Kendra's case too). I find the 'Team' whomever idea a little odd. Their core experience was the same; they just made different choices. I've read all of their books and watched many interviews. They're intelligent women trying to process a cultlike group and lifelong stigma. There will always be conflict between them; Hef loved to play his 'girlfriends' off each other. We can just listen to their stories and gain some insights so that we recognize narcissistic people and unhealthy relationships in our own lives.

How the hell do you know she's a person no-one would care about if it weren't for him? You don't know. How dare you just assume things about her when you don't know her. I’m an introvert, so much so that I have to watch tv, videos, documentaries and news to see what is happening in the world. You wouldn’t get me in an interview to talk about my famous late husband because I would never have any of it because I am in INTROVERT and don’t leave my place unless it’s to go to work or go food shopping or go on my long solo walk. She is however a huge liar, loved what Hef could provide for her and talks to much smack about the girls who never did anything to her but she is clearly very jealous of them both, our sweet Bridget and Holly. Crystal is creepy here with all the whispering and bold face lies
my favourite film - sliding doors
She didn't care that he died - leave it as that - the avoidance was irksome... she was at uni studying psychology but wasn't aware of the term nor traits of narcissism?

Right?! Nor "boundaries" or "misogyny"?!?!
Narcissist love to pray on people pleaser ,nice, kind, loving people, and they can mold young people. Especially if they are young like they said metal abuse
So she is so insecure it took her a decade To figure that out … maybe it’s the $$$$ and status put her self Interests way ahead of leaving . Holly did love him. He knew who he could Manipulate. He felt Sorry for the under dogs .. maybe that’s why she lasted so long not in love a milk toast under dog .. life long Victim. All her life even before hef poor me I am poor I am a victim .. she is a phony . She met him not at the mansion Halloween party’ . She met him at a rented event . Another embellishment
The girl who took her is not a friend or else Crystal could have talked to her about the Hef plan and life she lived.where’s that friend now? She said nothing about the friend so far.
Not doing herself any favors. Maybe all of his girlfriends should stop talking about him...speak your peace and let it go. And when i say all of his X 's i mean just that..all of them.
She didn’t recognise Hef’s narcissism - in hindsight she should have stayed in college & carried on studying psychology.
She exudes an air of insipidity. Jamie seems to exert considerable effort in attempting to prompt her to engage in a meaningful conversation. It feels as though he poses a question, only to receive a brief "yes" or "no" in response, compelling him to delve further to elicit a more substantial reply.
I would urge everyone to watch Girls Next Level episode about her book, with Holly, Bridget, and Hue's son, Marston Hefner. They have quite a different view of the situation. Crystal is REALLY rewriting history a bit. Worst of all, she changed the long standing will at the last minute. Shady shady shady.

Playboy makes money off of objectifying women which is abusive and wrong.
So she never loved him but yet married him. Sorry but who marries a 90 year old without another agenda She is still living off him by constantly talking about him. These woman knew exactly what they were doing and profited from it. She could have walked away at any time yet she stayed and married him. These woman wanted fame and how were they going to get that? By sleeping with an old but powerful man.
Why do you go on a podcast to whisper? I got the impression that she is lying.
I feel like she tries so hard to be Holly … even the stalk holm syndrome part
She has written a book spilling all the tea. She hardly feels sorry now
Getting £1k a week was demoralising? You could’ve made that last, lady?..
You didn’t ask her why she wanted hefs family members to sign ndas
Why would she talk to X or Instagram to switch her name back. Shouldn’t she be changing it by law???
Jamie, please your wedding cost more than 400 thousands ;)
She went to Bali with her boyfriend on his death bed!
How can he think of her as loyal to Hefner? Yes, he was a misogynist, shes still icky.

I don’t understand why Holly is bashing Crystal’s book. Most of the girlfriends are going to have similar stories, issues, relationship with Hef. Remember he was a creature of habit.
So why was she with him.
You should interview Holly or Bridget! Holly is so knowledgeable about Playboy
She says all this stuff after knocking down other peoples stories. It’s as if cause she married him she’s the only one who gets a voice. And if she doesn’t want to be famous why is she still using his last name for clout??

interesting from the get go "did you love him" she immediately goes to if he loves her. Then says 'he loved his kids, then me sadly". Something seems off....How is she acting so coy and shy, she knew what she was doing when she applied to go to the party, you have to send in a photo to get approved, she clearly thought she fit the bill and had intent, this was 4 years into a tv show she saw and knew what it was about. She didn't profit off him? she got a 3 mil house, 1k a week probably better tv compensation that the original girls ever got for girl next door, she is selling books profiting off him and keeping his name, she is the president of his legacy charity board and probably getting a heap of money off of that while changing what everything playboy did stand for. I am sorry but playboy worked because a lot of people saw it as 'BEAUTY' and she did too that;s why she morphed into it. Victoria secret went from the most watched runway show to completely ruined because there is a standard of beauty. like it or not. She comes off so fake and rehearsed
