CRYSTAL HEFNER: WHAT LIFE WAS REALLY LIKE INSIDE THE PLAYBOY MANSION

Ойын-сауық

From the cult-like world of Playboy, financial abuse at the hands of her husband and building her life up after leaving the “bunny” empire at 31, Crystal Hefner is a NYT best selling Author, American model and the third wife of Hugh Hefner.
Crystal reveals how she entered the Playboy mansion as a young, introverted women; the collateral damage of a highly competitive and misogynistic environment. Running away from a cover-shoot 5 days before her wedding, and how she took back her power over the last decade.
This is an empowering conversation about choosing yourself after years of objectification and misogyny.

I definitely wanted to see both perspectives. The interview with Marston was great. I'm not disliking her as much as I thought I would. I think she believes her own narrative. She probably shouldn't have been in that environment if she wasn't into a sugar daddy dynamic naturally. I think Holly and Bridgette view things more positively and viewed being at the mansion as a family.

@@coconutty4808 not everyone has the self-esteem in place to make the courageous decision to leave. The human brain is designed to remain in familiar situations as its easier to predict the future, keeping you "safe". But sadly this includes situations that are unhealthy. The brain deems the unhealthy situation "safer" than the unknown future situation if you decide to change. The longer the situation, the harder it is to break the neural circuit. Its why a lot of people (mainly women) stay in abusive relationships. Also, looking from an outsiders perspective makes it much easier to see the difference, we have no emotions in place tied to the situation. It's okay to have your opinions of course, but try lead with curiosity rather than judgement

Holly, Kendra, Bridgett, Crystal, Kristina, and Karissa were all vulnerable to 'Hef's' narcissism, manipulation, and the culture of his cultlike group because of their backgrounds (e.g. little money, prior abuse; learning disability and drug addiction in Kendra's case too). I find the 'Team' whomever idea a little odd. Their core experience was the same; they just made different choices. I've read all of their books and watched many interviews. They're intelligent women trying to process a cultlike group and lifelong stigma. There will always be conflict between them; Hef loved to play his 'girlfriends' off each other. We can just listen to their stories and gain some insights so that we recognize narcissistic people and unhealthy relationships in our own lives.

"I don't need that name" if you REALLY wanted to change your name from Hefner, you would have done it BEFORE releasing the book. You PURELY kept it to sell the book because you know no one would give the slightest bit of shit without the last name "Hefner" and the purely fictional subtitle "surviving Playboy"

interesting from the get go "did you love him" she immediately goes to if he loves her. Then says 'he loved his kids, then me sadly". Something seems off....How is she acting so coy and shy, she knew what she was doing when she applied to go to the party, you have to send in a photo to get approved, she clearly thought she fit the bill and had intent, this was 4 years into a tv show she saw and knew what it was about. She didn't profit off him? she got a 3 mil house, 1k a week probably better tv compensation that the original girls ever got for girl next door, she is selling books profiting off him and keeping his name, she is the president of his legacy charity board and probably getting a heap of money off of that while changing what everything playboy did stand for. I am sorry but playboy worked because a lot of people saw it as 'BEAUTY' and she did too that;s why she morphed into it. Victoria secret went from the most watched runway show to completely ruined because there is a standard of beauty. like it or not. She comes off so fake and rehearsed

Nope girl, you wanted us to pretend it was something besides a fame 304 or gold digger. We were grossed out then and now you slander a deceased man....gross, gross, gross. 🤢🤢🤢 I was 21 yo and dating a 31 yo man and he had to sign into my dorms and I was so embarrassed.
