Hey, how long this last when the wipers are working for a few hours of rain? I've used Rain-X and other products and each one has a durability. Some of them after a few minutes of wipers on will start loosing the hydrofobic effects. Some other products are more resistant to wiper rubber. Another aspect that I would like to see is how the product affect the wiper sliding movement. Some products like Rain-X make the wiper more grippy and you may start seeing the wipper shaking.

@@ludicrousfilms635 I bought the coating and applied a few weeks ago. The first test was a travel from Atlanta to Miami where I got a good amount of rain late night between Orlando and Miami. The hydrophobic effect was perfect. It was a heavy rain and I was running the wipers in the slowest setting. Next test was the bugs. You won't believe how many bugs I got in the windshield that night, before and after the rain. It was S/M/L/XL size bugs. So, arriving in Miami I left my truck in the parking lot for a week and after that I got back home. This time I didn't get any rain and just more bugs. As the truck went one week in a outdoor parking lot and after that I had a few more days to wash, here is my findings: - The product is amazing. But as demonstrated in the video, you apply a lot of the product into the applicator and this made me use half the bottle to apply in the windshield and the two front windows for a F-150. Don't expect to use this product in more than two cars. - Bugs, tree sap and other components still stuck in the glass and you will see less hydrophobic effect if you let all this stuff dry under the sun. - Washing your car with Adams Graphene shampoo and removing all the dirt will restore the hydrophobic effect. But remember to remove all the residues to get the results back. I still have some spots of sap tree that now I will need to remove. I'm thinking in applying IPA to remove, but I wonder if it will remove the coating too. (Probably yes, but would like the Adam's guys to help me here)

To maintain this coating, should we apply Adam's glass sealant, glass boost, or some other product during our maintenance washes?

Will vinyl stickers still stick to the glass with the coating? Track days usually require a number sticker be placed on the glass. I’m worried they won’t stick any longer.

Hi there, I will say that the Carlisle Car Show stickers do begin to slightly peel from the top corner of my windshield now at highway speeds if the stickers become wet. Vinyl should stick as long as you prep the area first, but they will be easier to peel off as well.

@@AdamsPolishes I ended up leaving the top left and right corner of the glass unprotected, to be able to stick track day numbers on, if needed. Not in line of view so it’s perfect to ensure they don’t fly off at high-speeds.

How long does this last under normal conditions... ? And can it be applied to the side view mirrors which are made of glass. But have heating elements in them... ?

Hi Kevin, under normal winter and rain conditions, the Graphene Glass Coating has been holding up since February on my daily driver, so it's at 8 months and still performing excellent. For those that may state it has only been out for 2 months, yes, but we've been testing it for far longer than that :) It can be applied to side mirrors; however some of those mirrors are not true glass, so it may not bond as well. This coating is formulated to specifically bond to glass.

Hi Josh, you could apply the Graphene Glass Coating on top of the glass sealant, but it may not bond as well or last as long per application. At a minimum, clean the glass very thoroughly with Surface Prep before applying Graphene Glass Coating. For best results you would want to remove the glass sealant layer first, either with several washes with Strip Wash or machine polishing it off with a white foam pad and our white Polish, and then Surface Prep. You could even use #0000 Ultra Fine Steel Wool with Glass Cleaner as a lubricant for the steel wool to deep-clean the glass and remove the sealant. (4-zero steel wool will not scratch glass, but it will scratch paint!) Let us know if you have any other questions!

Can this be applied over the top of the Graphene Advanced spray?

Based on the video, looks like you need to remove any coating on the glass before applying this product. It should get into the glass surface and if you leave other coatings on top of the glass, this will not be possible.

Hey Adam’s why should we go with this over using the normal or advance Graphene ceramic coating???

Hey Brian, this formulation was designed specifically for glass. This formula fills in the pores of the glass like our glass sealant, but has the longevity like our Graphene Spray Coating. Where as, the Graphene Ceramic Coating doesn't fill in the pores but rather, puts a layer of Graphene Ceramic on top of the glass surface. Because the Graphene Glass Coating fills in the pores of the glass, it is more effective at shedding water providing better hydrophobics and clarity while driving in harsh weather.

Hey there! You absolutely can use our Graphene Glass Coating on your glass shower doors to make them easier to clean. Just make sure that you do a very thorough cleaning first - polish out any water spots, then Surface Prep to leave the glass completely bare - before applying the coating. As a somewhat related side note, we do not recommend using our Water Spot Remover on glass shower enclosures - it is a very strong chemical intended for painted surfaces on the exterior of your vehicle, and could cause some issues on certain glass types.

Hi there, sorry I missed this comment! The hydrophobic water beading behavior is even greater with the Graphene Glass Coating, and it is more durable on glass specifically, lasting up to 9-12 months with one application. It requires no setup time and no cure time, and wipes away much more easily than the Graphene Ceramic Coating Advanced. This glass-specific formula will not bond to paint properly though - it is not multi-surface like Graphene Ceramic Coating Advanced.

@@daviddoan3129 Hi David, the 9 year rating is done on a painted panel in lab scrub tests, however, glass is a much harder surface than a painted clear coat, so the coating does not necessarily bond to glass as well as it does on paint, plus the windshield wipers are abrasive to the coating over time and will wear it down. You will notice that the side windows will have more durability and longer water beading and repelling behavior than the windshield, so yes, we would recommend re-coating the windshield as necessary, usually about twice per year. With the glass-specific Graphene Glass Coating, it is a formula designed to bond to glass, but it does not bond to paint properly. The Graphene Glass Coating held up for about 14 months of daily driving in all weather conditions on my vehicle's windshield before I needed to re-up it.

does this not need to be apply on the wiper blades itself ?

Thanks for the question. You would be better off putting either the Adam’s Graphene Ceramic Coating or Graphene Ceramic Spray on those surfaces as they are not porous like the way glass is.

Yes but it’s made specifically for the glass and much cheaper. Probably for those who don’t fully ceramic coat their vehicles is what I’m assuming.

I'm curious as well. However I see it says bug repellency and most bug removers are safe for coatings. And it says polymers for water beading, I think its leaving lubrication and protection. I don't think it will degrade the coating, if anything I'm hoping it adds more protection

Hi Chris, the windshield washer fluid does not eat away the coating. What will wear the coating away though is the movement and abrasion of the wiper blades going across the surface of the coating. Through our testing, the Graphene Glass Coating lasts about 9-12 months or roughly 10,000 miles on the windshield and even longer on the drivers and passengers side glass. The abrasion of the wipers is mainly what will wear away the coating on the windshield.

Is there any benefit or problem with also using this on the interior surface of the windows?

there's really no benefit for the interior I would think, the point of applying any ceramic coating period is for its hydrophobic properties it comes with. other than maybe a very very light shine there's no rain or puddles hitting the inside of the car so I don't think it would really be practical

Hi there, the coating itself will not create more fog, but if you do not wipe away all of the residue thoroughly during application, it could leave behind a slightly hazy look.

Why not just use the regular Graphene ceramic coating

My assumption would be that this is a more specialized product. It likely is designed specifically to bond to glass, the regular stuff works, but I'd imagine this works even better (for glass). Glass focused coatings usually are more durable but less reflective, which for glass is fine, but for paint would be a negative. The more reflective something is, the less durable.

TheGreatChrisB is pretty much spot on with his reply. This product is more specialized. The Graphene Glass Coating fills in the pores of the glass rather than placing a layer on top of the glass. This provided better beading/hydrophobic effect and better clarity while driving in harsh weather. Also one main difference is the ease of application. This goes on similar to our Glass Sealant but even easier to apply.

How long does it last on the windshield? How often should use this … I’m thinking to get one bottle

Hi there! We've tested our Graphene Glass Coating at 9+ months per application on daily driven vehicles, or around 10,000 miles of driving. So depending on how much rain and snow driving you do, you may need to reapply once or twice per year. One 30ml bottle will coat multiple vehicles, or several applications on one vehicle 👍

I applied 2 coats of this on my Model 3 in my garage on a cold rainy day few days ago and it etched my windshield. When it rains I could see where I initially applied the coating. Whats worse is there was barely any beading effects, and after 60 miles of rain/wipers the coating was literally gone and the wipers were skipping/squeaking. The water started to drag/sheet instead of beading. Same goes for the panoramic roof, low beading effect, even a leaf blower couldn’t blow the water off. I have Adams Graphene ceramic on my paint and it works great. Idk what happened with this glass coating.

Hi Steven, that definitely doesn't sound normal. We have test vehicles that have had our Graphene Glass Coating on the windshield for 9+ months now still holding up incredibly well. It should not etch glass either - how long did it sit on the glass before wiping away the residue? It's possible that you are seeing dried-on rain drops that beaded on the glass. This coating does not need to flash on the surface like our Graphene Ceramic Coating for paint, so it can be wiped away almost as soon as you finish applying it to half of the windshield. This Graphene Glass Coating does require the windshield to be very clean and any previous products removed for it to bond best to the glass. @@AdamsPolishes It sat on the glass for about 30 seconds to 1 minute from the start of each application. It is not raindrops. The glass is clean. I took the car out of the garage the first day after application into the rain storm, and every time the wipers were wiped, the application marks would appear during the slight haze from each wipe. Even in the morning dew, or if the car sat outside during the rain, the application marks will appear. I'll send some pictures and videos to your email soon.

@@yilongli4021 @tristancefail I removed the coating using Invisible Glass - Glass Stripper. Heavy cut compound also works too. I did not apply any coat or wax afterwards, but overtime the wipers created a natural hydrophobic layer. No more skipping/squeaking.

The wipers on my Tesla are skipping after applying this coating. There is not enough water or moisture left for the wipers to glide smoothly while driving in traffic at low speed.

Hi Danny, try giving the wiper blades a good cleaning with our Tire & Rubber Cleaner sprayed into an older Edgeless Utility Towel, then gently scrub the towel into the rubber blades on the wiper arm. Sometimes the wiper blades themselves will develop oxidation and dirt in the rubber that can cause them to drag or skip on the now very smooth windshield.

@@AdamsPolishes no offence, I have already tried this method with similar product from turtle wax, it does not help, moreover the car is not even three months old. I should have been more clear, the wiper simply doesn’t skip if there is enough water, e.g. during light rain if you wait for while then it will wipe smoothly. However when you drive with cruise control then you can’t manually control wiper in Tesla, so no driving with cruise control or autopilot if there is hydrophobic effect on the windshield.

I use fast wax from a reputable company thats been around for along time with tons of operating franchises and ive never needed to do glass coating i dont even reccomed aquapel. Always a perfect beading and never any standing water no hassle spray on rinse off

This stuff is okay. I have had a better experience with gla'co super wiper. In fact I put Gla'co on top of this stuff and it performed much much better. Your advanced graphene ceramic coating is awesome, this window stuff is not thay impressive to me.

I just advanced coated my car including all the windows....

wait... the glass cleaner is alcohol based? I thought you were advocating not to use alcohol-based products because alcohol breaks down sealants. I specifically bought adams windshield washer fluid because it wasn't alcohol-based. If I had known your glass cleaner was alcohol-based I could have just stuck to using invisible glass this whole time.

Many automotive glass cleaners are Alcohol based so it flashes. You can actually make your own with just alcohol and water.

rain-x does the same thing for alot cheaper

RainX is a terrible product if you live in colder climates. Tried them twice over the years. You're better off to wax your windows than use that

Way too many step before applying the coating, if using glass cleaner why don’t you spray clay and wipe it off?
