I think the Crysis lore is pretty underrated in the Crysis universe itself lmao because everyone literally care more about the graphics than creating a good history so, such an awesome franquise

I personally think Alcatraz should have in charge in crysis 3 with Laurence being basically the same ghost in the machine but not in charge, with the nanosuit having a dual personality dynamic

Well, not by his will, the suit actually took control over his body and fought him for a good while and eventually won and basically killed him by erasing his memories and implanting prophets memories into Al's body, cause of the symbiotic relationship it has, so it choose prophet and killed alchatraz, pretty dark when you think about it

The first two Crysis game’s’ plot is very confusing. From the ending of the first game, we don’t know what happens next, and when Crysis 2 came out, the Ceph suddenly invade New York. Why would the developers decided to skip ahead to the Ceph stage 2 invasion after the destruction of the Ceph Warrior Ship and when Nomad and the survivors picked up a transmission from Prophet?

Same bro. I played crysis 2 on ps3 when I was like 10. It was literally my favorite game. I hadn’t played any other crysis game so I didn’t understand the plot or anything. I just loved the visuals and gameplay. Which is hilarious because that’s what is so bad about the original games. Now that it got remastered though, all of it has been drastically improved, and I’m looking forward to playing my favorite game again.

You did crysis 2 dirty, thought it was better than the third

With the teaser trailer for crysis 4 out now, I can imagine that prophet will be able to change into mirror images of his enemies to get into super secure locations. 4 is gonna be dope AF

The rig I originally played Crysis 1 on couldn't handle the flames from the jet engines in the first cutscene and would crash.

Carl Rasch is actually another founder of crynet, a friend of Jacob Hargrave, if I recall it correctly they in the beginning of 20s century were there in the tunguska after the Tunguska explosion and found the trace of alien biological stuff for them to build the bio-tech company crynet and finally led to the nanosuit.

Prophet's consciousness also 'fused' with the suit and thus, due to the severity of Alcatraz's injuries, it ultimately overwritten his own consciousness... thus replacing it with Prophet's own.

the story and song was one of the best in the industry no doubt about it. was fortunate that it end at the right spot. not overselling on the suit

What I don’t like about the story is that characters don’t continue. Hell I believe only Psycho came back in Crysis 3. Nomad never came back (or died offscreen in a comic book) and was never mentioned again. You basically play as Prophet since Crysis 2.

@@adiadsky8970 a bit more complicated than that so basicaly lets start with the suit in crysis 2 prophet was dying from the virus and saved alcatraz to continue on fighting after prophet killed himself alcatraz went on but the suit was bonded to prophet not alcatraz and he was dying so prophet’s concionce was still in the suit at the end of crysis 2 prophet’s conciosnes took control so basically the suit is using alcatraz body to function because it needs tissue and muscle to operate but alcatraz is dead its just his body and the suit because bonded with prophet took his conciousness…prophet died in crysis 2 and alcatraz after crysis 2 so basicaly the main portagonist is the suit wich adopted prophet’s conciousnes and alcatraz body

Last I heard, prophet was on his way back to the island. Nomad and chick were going back to meet him. Fast forward to crysis 2 and prophet is in New York for some reason and nomad is nowhere to be found. What happened on the island? What happened to nomad? What happened to prophet? How did prophet get infected with this weird virus? And you don’t think it is relevant?

I know I’m late, but that BIG gap between the end of Crysis 1 and the beginning of Crysis 2 are explained in various comic books. Amazon Kindle only gave me samples and I need the complete explanation not one quarter of the gap that I wanna fill with knowledge lmao 🤦🏽‍♂️

I've been running through the trilogy for the first time and I was confused about what happened to nomad too. I read it on some kinda Crysis wiki that nomad got killed by a rocket saving prophet. I'm not sure if that happened in warhead or just off screen.

Well, the Nanosuit basically made a copy of his personality (his traits, his memories, everything he was saved like a file on a hard drive), there was some duking out between him and Alcatraz for control, but eventually Prophet won and Alcatraz was gone for good

Don't know if it was in Crysis 2 or 3 but there is a data log or a talk about how Nomad didn't survive "The Skinning" where he basically died because they tried to get him out of his suit.

I dont get one thing in Crysis 1 the KPA wear nanosuits too and in Warhead there is another squad of Nanosuit Soldiers so the KPA stole the technology of the Nanosuit or Hargreave give to them or i dont know Crysis is my favorite Triology but some story holes what happend on Island after the First game Ceph loose i know they talk about the blue ceph as a Scouts not an Army so thats mean in the second game is a Army or Scouts why they use Exosuits in second game and not drones like in the first game i dont get it 😅😅

It's because the sequel was dumbed down for consoles. Crysis 1 ran terribly on consoles because they couldn't handle it. So they basically changed everything after crysis 1, vegetation is a lot more demanding than ruined buildings and so are flying enemies compared to regular walking ones. Also complete removal of strength and speed which were imo the highlights of crysis 1. They should have just continued the original story instead of that prophet/Alcatraz BS. Way too stupid and unnecessary. The original plot was maybe simple but it was fun and established quite a lot, it also setup the core as the final boss. But unfortunately crysis 2 ruined everything.

To the point that in part three they try to connect loose ends with part one. Like seeding ships and so on. Kind of like the same mess as the star wars sequels story mess. Anyway... crysis one will still be superior. Never liked the strange sequels and it's dumb story decisions. (Like the whole nanosuit bullshit)

This game is heavily under appreciated. Fuck all the remastered shit.. I just got all 3 games on Game pass for 360 software lmaooo, and the game was still full of more passion and incredible gameplay that u see today. I loved the story and I loved how 3 relayed back to 1. In Crysis 1 you would’ve never guessed Prophet was gonna be the main protagonist. Graphics and frame rate is whatever, for the time that the game came out it’s truly an incredible FPS game.

@@sturm9087 the story straight up says the ceph on the island were ancient and in hibernation, that's why they're so primal and not bipedal. The ceph in Crysis 2 were ceph that had been evolving for millions of years, without hibernation. You just were not paying attention

Also I don’t see the change from a completely robotic force into a regular biological one as “evolved” it seems like the ones in crysis 2 have devolved if anything. Also what happened to their reliance on cold? They has cryogenic weapons and obviously thrived in cold environments and the ceph in crysis 2 lost that weapon technology and no longer need any cold weather to survive? What does the ceph from crysis 1 and 2 actually have in common? For all intents and purposes they are different species

@@sturm9087 the Crysis 2 ceph had spent millions of years under the surface of the earth, it's featured in the comics and some cutscenes. The Frozen ceph were just an outshoot of ceph that spent time in hibernation frozen. You can read the Crysis wiki for lots of this info
